I'm liking the new app, but there's something that's been bugging me. Since I have the chessnut go, I want to just be able to do the puzzles in app. it works okay for that, but when I do warm up puzzles, there's no way to change the orientation to black's perspecitve in the app.. it seems to always show from whites perspective when in puzzle mode.
Anyone else have this problem as well?
What do you think Yamaha needs to do to get back in the game? I feel they are being out sold by efnote and Roland, and lagging behind in features. They make up for it in sound, but what can they do to improve on what they have built so far?
So i wanted to post this post as a follow up of my review of the Laurin snare drum.
After playing around with settings on the internal trigger system, my final consensus was that the internal triggers weren't great. They were cheap electronics that really didn't trigger that well.
I ended up using the same shell and adding pintech rubber rim protectors, a dolby drums Quadristrike 4ply head, and a Yamaha DT-50s snare drum trigger to the rim. I have to say that it plays 100 times better than it did before.
The DT-50s is a great trigger and I'm so glad I ended up getting one. Works very well with the DTX pro. Triggers both rimshots and Center snare hits extremely well.
So yeah, don't get a Laurin snare unless you plan on using a separate trigger for it.
