Struggling to climb as Pyke OTP

Let me just get this out of the way, I know I'm bad at the game and there's a million things I could improve on, I would just love to know what the most important things to focus on are right now. I've peaked silver 3 (I know not high at all) in the past on support but I'm trying to climb on my main now and it feels very different on Pyke

The biggest thing I'm struggling with is the fact that obviously Pyke can't carry games in the traditional sense and I feel extremely reliant on teammates to capitalize on the openings and pressure I provide but it's just not landing, so I think I need to change my strategy. Often times I crush early game, by 20 minutes me and bot lane are both fed, I'm consistently roaming when I believe appropriate to set up/deny vision, gank mid, help objectives, etc. but it never feels like it materializes as actual map success. We get kills and secure dragons early but no turrets gets pushed, and by late game when I fall off everything just collapses.

I try to give up as many kills as I can early, use my ult in team fights and when ganking except when it's a shutdown I try to give that kill to a teammate, but translating any of these bonuses to actual victory seems incredibly difficult

Should I be trying to shove lanes and turrets myself? With my mediocre waveclear and the fact that I'm support it feels like my teammates should be catching waves and shoving when I give them openings from ganks or kills but after every fight they just recall and come back to lane. I try to set up vision and then recall but maybe I should be pushing more

I'd be happy to link accounts if someone could go over with me how to properly play this character, I suspect I'm not using his strengths fully and playing him too much like other champions

Why is cyclosword not more popular?

Granted I'm a low elo and I know most of the build websites showing popular build paths are in an elo where they're almost playing a different game entirely, but it seems like cyclosword second after rushing glaive is super helpful. It gives me the power spike right around 20 minutes when Pyke is strong to burst squishies before they can react, without it often times the enemy recovers after the stun and is free to run me down.

I guess what I'm asking is why are the other items preferred?
