Smolder IMO is the worst ADC to support

I have yet to support a smolder who knows what they’re doing. I seen 2 versions in my games, 1. They fight and die early continuously. 2. They afk farm till 30 min. I play Nami/Millio/naut/alistar..can’t seem to find anything to work with them.

Id rather support anything else than smolder!

Any tips on what works?

the fine line between inting and baiting

around 400 LP Master in NA. very satisfying CC combo after almost getting caught. Seraphine thought it was planned (it wasn’t)

How do you feel about the "vision gameplay" ?

Personally i find it very boring... It's so redundant.

You spend half the game putting down dozens of wards in rouhgly the same places and you back to base and do it again.

The soul crushing experience or clearing 1 ward with negative AS (shoutout to all my Alistar comrades) all the while you see enemy support and jungler put down 4 more wards right in front of you right as your swiper ends. And of course you have no pink on you, so you base, and come back ect, ect...

So yeah, i was curious to know If i was the only one or not.

What does this say about me?

Jumping on the bandwagon here! I’m curious to see if there’s any trends. What do you all think?

I feel like some things are obvious but maybe you guys think of something that I don’t know about myself.

I took 10 years off and came back

I took 10 years off league playing maybe a few games per year i was in bronze and iron since S8

I had no role or identity and constantly changed champions that were not suitabble formy playstyle. I came back picked enchanter as my main role and hit gold with Ivern. I played mostly Janna and Seraphine, soraka.

however I noticed very early on that league is a team game and KDA is not winning you games the ocaassional "stfu and let me carry" attitude people have is insane. i have to spam in chat for my mates to move or group as everyone is jumping in 1 v 5 solo its crazy.

I played like that too when i used to main assassins and stuff but i was always a support player at heart always dying for the team and playing for the win instead of mechanics and show off,

this role truly makes the game worth playing imo

Just came back after like a year. Did yalls limbs fall off? What is happening? Feels like the skill ceiling has collapsed. Nobody at my rank knows how to play the game anymore.... I didn't just magically get 100x better while not playing for a year? What gives?

I just don't really understand. For context I finish around Silver or Gold every season. Normally it feels competitive for me when I play because I am always around this level of play.

However, I just watched the recent AT&T Annihilator Cup and was watching all the streamers playing League. It gave me the itch to redownload and get some sets in. For like the last week I've just been destroying every single game.

It genuinely feels like these people are Iron. Some of them don't seem to even understand their champions? I'm just going lane to lane killing everything that moves an inch.

Nothing has changed. I am around the same rank I always am (S1). Playing the same champions I always play. Using the same runes and builds I always use. The only difference is time.

So seriously what is happening here? Did they do something weird with ranked while I was away? Or have all the good players left??? I had to actually sweat for wins before. Now feels like I can't lose. My team picks garbage match ups and whatever and I still get them across the finish line most games.

I also realize if I just keep going like this, I'll move up ranks eventually and meet more balanced games, but again why was it so much harder the last time I played? Now it feels like an actual joke, and nobody knows what they are doing but me? Silver-Gold players before felt like they could hold their own. They at least understood their champion most of the time.

You should have seen this Annie I just played against. It was like she had no limbs irl. I genuinely don't know what her gameplan was besides getting kicked in the mouth 17 times. I dropped 15 kills in 18 minutes and forced them to FF.... The very next game I dropped 12 kills in 15 minutes and forced them to FF.... Like I'm talking I'm just speed running these people over and over, when last year I was having to try so hard for wins at the very same rank.

Something just doesn't feel right. Maybe yall can clear it up? Unless I've just magically reincarnated as Faker who isn't yet dead there is some tom fuckery at hand here.

what to do when my adc sucks but no one wants me on their lane to help?

sometimes my adc is really bad and just flames me but when i decide to abandon botlane and go to mid or toplane to help they dont want me there and tell me to leave because "i am stealing xp"

Never seem to get S grade anymore?

Hello,

Do you guys get S grades anymore on support? I can go 0/0/20 and still not get an s. Has something changed or is it just much harder now?

Edit: I took the advice and placed more wards and got an S every game even when I played bad. Kinda takes away from it in my opinion. It doesn’t matter if you play well or not you can just spam wards and get an S+. Probably one of the reasons support players get a lot of stick off of other roles.

But thank you to the people that left helpful comments.

Just hit Diamond for the first time after 7 years of playing casually

Hello,
Just wanted to share this little accomplishment with the community.
I was basically playing very casual for a long time now and mostly playing off meta champs and figuring out funny builds on support (like Nasus or Kled Support) while playing mostly normal games.
According to OP.gg my peak before this run was Plat 3 in Season 2024 S2 but I never really cared to lock in and see what my true potential is.
But a few weeks ago something clicked and i just started playing Solo/Duo alone (also something I never really did because I'm a very sozial gamer and tend to only play with friends).
I got one crazy winstreak after the other after beeing stuck in low emerald/high platin while Duo queing with a friend.
And then today I just hit diamond.
To be honest I didnt even have to grind for to long and in the end it felt a bit to easy but hey, maybe I got lucky.
Will post my last games before diamond and also my OP.gg.
I ended with an overall winrate of 58% and mostly playing Rell, Neeko and Poppy.
Thank you for having me!

Independence as an support

I was trying to create a champion pool, my main is Pyke, and i never felt so dependent of my ADC (who tends to have only two braincells). Any suggestions of how to be more independent playing as an support? Strategies, champions, or anything tbh.
