Disguised Waitress - "Yeah, I was caught in the Darkmines where I was a Mine Bunny. Now... What was that about a prized card?~"
Torture - Time to see what nonsense you are gonna ruin my day with.
Level 73 in WoW. Messing with the Argent Crusade and attempting to find a card to make for it and I decided "Torturing the Torturer". I know this will be a card that Blizzard will make in the future with more... kind looking art for kiddies (Loud Music blaring/Nipple twisting at worst)... But I'm not bound by corporate shareholders pandering to uninterested demographics.
Screw the Rules - I Have Money
Dumb, dumb, dumb idea. It's more reference then replication of the scene with an attempt to balance. I stuck with "Summon an 8-Cost for 3 mana? Because I have Money"
Edit: I have made an edit you can see on Hearthcards. I'd plug it, but sounds like a pointess thing to bother people with. It's simply 1 mana more, BUT it summons three *1*-Cost minions now.
"Silvermoon" Harry - Banned from Midnight
Level 72 in Northrend and I'm helping Pirates who swiped Vykrul artifacts. Your contact for fixing pirates gone crazy with ancient artifacts? A 'Sin'doreboo', he knows all there is to know about Blood Elves and so his effect reflects that.
A New Plague - One small sip for Dwarf, A forsaken step towards the Wrathgate incident.
I like making Plague cards that Helya did. I think DK should have another run with it again and have posted many ideas with it. I also like Blight being a weaker version but you shuffle more in, as the Forsaken's modified versions goal is to stop Undeath and melt the Scourge and everyone else.
So... Creating Blight by mixing it with the Plague makes a lot of sense and allows this to be a trigger to your opponents deck meltdown.
The Ancient Lift - How we ramped in the old days
Level 71. Helping the Tuskarr and decided to make something that I don't think Blizzard would ever reference in Hearthstone. Probably just too slow unless you prematurely blow up the location
Forsaken Destroyer - The former Navy of Lordaeron sails again
Part of my leveling a DK series, this was Level 69. Didn't do Borean Tundra, went to the better WOTLK starting zone.
Deathrattle is a 50/50. Don't know what you are gonna get. I also love the Plague mechanic
Send a Message - Vengeance for the Forsaken!
Back on the 'Make a card for every level my DK gets in MOP Classic', Hit level 70. Still gotta make one for Level 69, but I'm still puzzling how to design the card.
Mogul Razdunk: Welcome to the Venture Company! Now beat up those guys trying to kill me!
Originally designed to be 3 mana with only summoning 1 Intern and the 'Card Tax' on Razdunk himself (Basically making your hand cost (2) more until he was destroyed). Reworked, but added +1 Mana before posting here because I know people get mad at a 3 mana 6/6 (or technically 4/6)
(WIP Set tease) Part 3 of 2: "Cleanse Mechanic Sucks" + Other tokens from Sha
"Your idea is stupid. Cleanse and Sha are dumb. Just gimmie the overpowered cards in deck" It's why we got the Monkey King to help us. (Stats and Cost not final)
Liu does shuffle in the MSoG plus the support, but now Shaman flavored.
Taran Zhu's Cleansed effect has too many tokens to share and I gotta save something to tease later; however... I am looking for people interested in helping finish the set with their own critique or opinions on any cost, gameplay or mechanic issues they see. It's been a one man operation for a while and help has been scarce when I can get it.
(WIP Set tease) Part 2 of 2: The Dark Power of the Sha and how to summon them.
A continuation of the Cleanse Mechanics seen here, Sha are the result of investing into the mechanic. Whenever one is summoned by any means, it will be resummonable as long as you use the gem to Summon another Sha.
Starting off with what was seen before: 7 of the 12 classes have the ability to cheat out their Sha for free and ALSO add a gem to make their resummoning easier OR to enable summoning a second Sha out from previously played gems. For example, Playing Kafa-Crazed Goat and Shy Spirit before hand will summon a 1/5 version of 'Violence' or 'Fear' alongside Flameheart summoning 'Doubt'.
If Fear won, then the next time a gem is slotted in to summon 'Fear' or 'Doubt'... Those versions would resummon as long as their isn't a copy on the board along with whatever new Sha is attempted to be summoned.
These are still WIP designs and while there is a lot of 'text text text', the design plan is supposed to be simplified as
>Cleanse minions can be played like normal cards. They shuffle a better version in and build up a Sha. As long as any three Cleanse minions are played, you will get a Sha
>Players can build towards summoning bigger and more powerful Sha if they match the colors up more
>The Sha gem summon only summons a duplicate if you hard focus a summon with no other gem and still have the same Sha on board. (For example, You have the Rogue Legendary to summon the 3/7 Sha of Hatred and played two Harsh Teachers following to summon the 5/9)
Oh... And
>Filling your board with all 7 different Sha is an alternative win condition that instantly destroys your opponent. An impossible condition, but one that would be rewarded if I had anything to say about it.
TL;DR: When you play Cleanse cards, you are building towards summoning these minions of varying powers. The more of the same gem, the stronger the effect becomes.
(WIP Set tease) Part 1 of 2: Introducing 'Cleanse:' A Parasitic Keyword that holds power.
8 months ago, I asked and didn't get any replies in regards to help with a Swansong project. Today, I wanna offer a small tease and see if there is any different feedback to be gained.
TL;DR
>'Cleanse' cards denote an abbreviated version of 'Battlecry' and 'Deathrattle' to showcase what they are suppressing. The cards will work exactly the same as if they are Battlecry or Deathrattle regardless
>Playing the card from hand triggers the 'Cleanse' (As to avoid making Deathrattle feel worse as a Cleanse option), adding the Gem to the counter [Unfinished Graphic at this time] and the cleansed version into the deck.
Gem Design is still WIP, along with some other details to show the mechanic. Minions are also WIP, If you think it needs a buff... Speak up. I may be late with a reply as I am posting this before bed. I am considering asking for help in getting this set done, but I'm still on the fence on making that call.
Sha will be explained tomorrow, so only a sneak peak today for Oondasta.
Lunchbreaker - Can we increase the turn timer please?
>Why not make it trigger twice/thrice?
Mostly because I think some effects work better if you can shift the focus of the 'Activate' and you can pair this with a card that makes Activates more cheaper.
Undercity Fisherman - Loves the sport despite only catching buffs
Had some suggest to make it a Legendary, but I liked the more simplistic route. Only starts to break when Blizzard prints good DK cards again.
Codex of Xerrath: Guess who got Green Fire?
Finally beat Ebonlocke (Yes, the very one from Ashes) and made a spell to celebrate it a while back. Just uploading here. Part of the idea is with the desire for 'Dual-class spells' but that is for another day
Skyhigh Spectator: "These seats are an eyesore, I can't see anythin' 'mon..."
Another card matched with "Pa'ku", this time something that doesn't usually fit DH and that is 'Imps'. I just didn't feel like using Felbats and simply wanted to have something Swarmy at a high cost. I have thought this could cost less or maybe some more Attack to get the Overkill up... BUT I guess I matched the sets power level.
Dark Troll Endling: Survivors Guilt comes with a discount
A month ago, I posted "Pa'ku"; Loa of the Skies and Rival to Gonk, the Raptor. The idea was for a contest that was 'Design cards for an old set' and the mind instantly went to 'Worst expansion with my favorite theme, what can/should the new classes have been'
This was designed with the same themes in mind. The Dark Trolls being the original pre-cursors to the Night Elves that lived in Mount Hyjal until they were destroyed by the Twilight Hammer. Only one exists left in Dazalor, but this is imagining it as another contestant fighting as the last of their tribe in the Rumble and is reflected in having a bonus if you ran it like a Legendary.
Priest from the Dark: "Once upon a time, a LEGEND was whispered among shadows..."
Rude Buster: An anachronistic anomaly of a violent violet Dracthyr.
I cannot help but wonder if things would have turned out different if the titans had elevated even one more dragonflight. -Alexstrasza
