Incoming freshman schedule - tips?

Hey yall, I’m an incoming freshman and this is my schedule for the first semester. I’m nervous about calculus because math doesn’t come naturally to me, so wondering about any study tips yall got or insights on how difficult the class is?

UT housing

I emailed the housing department about if I’m allowed to receive the emails of my suitemates, but I doubt I’m allowed too. I’m on floor 2 if anyone here is as well!!

Fall move-in info?

I haven’t seen any posts about this so I wanted to ask. How does fall move-in work? Do we register for certain slots or are we just given them? When will we be notified about the option to choose or what we’ve been given?

Registration

This is the hardest thing ever and I am so beyond frustrated. I’m an incoming first year at Poole and I’ve graduated with my associates in arts. I only want to be at State for 2 years, but that’s looking pretty impossible right now.

I sent my CC transcript back on May 14th, but my degree audit still hasn’t updated. I’m struggling to understand what classes are actually required and what I’ve included in my Pack Planner because I don’t understand.

I register this Wednesday, and I have been rearranging classes in the Pack Planner for 2 hours now because there are so many classes with no seats available. Right now I’m looking at my first year having 16 credits both semesters, and my 2nd year having 15 credits both semesters.

There’s only so many classes I can move because of pre-req requirements and when the classes are offered, and I genuinely don’t know what to do anymore. I went to the NCSU website for virtual advising (which said 1-3 on Monday’s) but I was in the waiting room for 20 minutes with nobody answering. I then went back to an old email, and they changed the hours to 8-10am, and that’s when I’m at work.

I have no idea what to do, if anyone has some kind of creative way that will get me into the classes I need without going over 18 credit hours it would be much appreciated.

Incoming freshman housing

Hey yall ! I’m an incoming freshman at state, and have ranked the dorms solely on the pictures I got from the NCSU website. It’s mainly about if I can have my bed not lofted and have my desk at a different spot in the dorm, and if my roommate would be able to do the same.

Would yall relatively agree with this list or move some things around? Are there certain dorms that look smaller online but are actually bigger in person or have other benefits to them that I’m not seeing?

Thanks in advance!

Hi all! I’ve dealt with tinnitus for most of my life but I thought a constant ringing was normal until I found out it wasn’t.

My tinnitus is most noticeable in quiet places or when I’m alone, and I don’t remember if it still happens while I’m doing other things like working and I’ve learned to subconsciously ignore it or if it actually goes away.

Does anyone else focus on their tinnitus and finds that you don’t remember having it during ur normal day? I’m not sure if this is crazy or not, but wanted to ask!
