Attempting Buttercream Please Help!😅

Hi there I need some help! I had made a chocolate cake prior to the frosting. I have some wild black caps growing in my yard and wanted to make a frosting with them. I’m a beginner baker so I’m not the best at figuring out the right amounts for my bakes though I do follow along the recipes. I’m also usually picky with overly sweet recipes, so I try to use a little less sugar than what the recipes ask for.

I only have salted butter in the fridge at the moment so I used the Original County Crock as my butter. I believe I used about 5-8 tbs in total. I added 2 tsp of vanilla and had it mixed with my stand mixer on the lowest setting. For the powdered sugar, I used 3/4c and was a bit impatient with my black cap raspberry sauce and didn’t let it cool, so I immediately added the sauce right in and used about maybe 1/2-3/4c. The butter started to curdle a little and was very thin. So I added more powdered sugar and more butter, I even added about 4 tsp of cornstarch while looking for other tips. It still wasn’t working so I put it in the fridge for 30 mins and it was still a little curdled but very thin. I then put it in freezer for about 10 mins. I also heated the mixture for 10 seconds and it wasn’t warm so I added more time (30s -1 min in total). It helped the mixture but between the stand mixer and hand mixture it would still be runny.

Any tips that will help salvage my frosting would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
