Difficulty in being accepted by recruitment agencies (looking for legal position)

I’ve submitted my CV and emailed a good few of them but have heard nothing back. New low getting rejected by recruitment agencies 😔 Anyone have recruitment agencies that are particularly good for legal roles?

Securing a legal role through recruitment agencies

Hi, not sure if this is the right subreddit for it but I’m trying to obtain a legal role as a person who currently works in a non-legal office (law graduate +FE1 candidate). I’ve emailed small firms directly, and used Indeed and the Law Society Legal Vacancy section but it feels like no one wants to hire someone inexperienced or looks like they’re looking to qualify as a solicitor in the end. Any advice on how to obtain legal admin/reception/sec roles and how should I market myself?

is it worth looking for a new job for TC application

currently i am working in a non legal office as a hybrid office administrator/ health and quality control administrator. amazing job, coworkers lovely, close to home and they allow me to study for fe1’s during work and give me leave during exam season. however, it’s a non legal field im in and im wondering if my chances to get a TC would be better if i moved to a legal exec/secretary type job? i feel like my duties are quite similar to what entry legal jobs would be like (filing, document formatting, emails, letters, phones, drafting etc)

have may gotten TC’s in the last few rounds with no actual legal work? any advice would be very much appreciated

What to say when cold emailing and applying to local firms

Like the title says, what do you typically say when emailing law firms for a legal secretary or similar position. Is there anything I can say to stand out, like why pick me. I have office skills (non-legal), maybe it’s worth saying i’d love to work in the legal field? I tailor my CV and Cover letter depending on the application, I just want to make my email standout enough that they think of giving me a chance.

Advice on what small law firms may be looking for for legal exec/secretary roles

Hi all, like the title says I’m looking to apply for some entry law roles. I have non legal office experience and I’m just wondering how to word this to make it look like i would suit the legal field (i am also a law graduate).

I have the basics of my roles down but I know they might want candidates who are already trained in legal roles so is there any way I can present myself to show that yes I could do this role, if this makes sense.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

i’m very early 20s and working in full time salary job. i’m starting to build an emergency fund first, maybe €4,000? i was wondering if anyone had advice on where to leave it? safest option would be an post but interest rate isn’t great, maybe revolut instant savings, i think its 1.5%. i also opened a trading 212 account and ive seen the cash you leave in there accumulates interest (3% i think) which seems idea but trading 212 is so new and scary and im wary to leave so much money in there. but it also makes sense cuz i wont really be touching that money for a while… i hope.

i would appreciate any advice or peoples personal recommendations. thank you!

My job is currently very quiet and I’d like to do something useful with my spare time while I wait for Fe1 results. Anyone know any useful courses and online internships I can do in the mean time that recruiters may like to see?

Hi, I’m in my early 20s from an incredibly poor family so savings and investments were never even considered. However, I’m in my first salary job and having this money sitting in my account is scaring me.

I really want to avoid the mistakes my parents made and become financially literate but when researching investments, it is very difficult to comprehend once they start using letters and acronyms.

If someone could point me in the direction of someone who uses easy language, what the irish investments landscape is like etc I need very basic explanations so I can build my way up. apologies if i sound like a dope i just want to know where to start. i currently have savings in a credit union and it’s money i’m happy to not touch for a while that’s why i considered investing because I know the interest you receive back can be sm more. any advice at all is very much appreciate it :)
