Honestly Impressed by Gemini 3.6 flash

Honestly Impressed by Gemini flash 3.6

Today for the first time i've tested the 3.6 flash on a couple of projects regarding my algorithmic trading activity.

Here are my 2 cents:

  1. Never seen such a speed and accuracy from a light model

2.tested as technical brainstorming and fast prototyping tool and accuracy seems improved very much

3.i've uploaded a couple of huge scripts and in a blink of an eye it got the essence of them by providing improvements and suggestions on design flaws, all pertinent.

My first impression is very positive. Honestly I am impressed.

What do y think?

Hi everyone,

I’m writing this because I’m incredibly frustrated with the latest updates—or rather, "downgrades"—to the Gemini interface.

A couple of weeks ago, they introduced a crucial feature: the ability to keep the microphone active without it auto-disconnecting. For those of us who use Gemini for long brainstorming sessions or hands-free work, it was a game-changer. As of this morning, it’s completely gone. Not only does the mic now deactivate automatically, but the toggle has vanished.

To make matters worse, the "Hey Google" activation is also bugged. Even when I re-enable it, it consistently deactivates itself within a few hours or a day at most, forcing me to dive back into the settings repeatedly.

Why does Google keep introducing great UX improvements only to yank them away or break them two weeks later? It feels like they are sabotaging their own product’s usability.

Is anyone else experiencing this constant resetting of settings? This is a massive step backward for accessibility and hands-free us
