Be careful with credit estimates. My workflow showed ~1,305 credits but consumed almost 20,000.
I've been using Magnific for professional work and today I experienced something that completely destroyed my confidence in the platform.
I built a very simple workflow using the Video Generator node. Before running it, the interface displayed an estimated cost of approximately 1,305 credits.
Based on that information, I clicked Run.
Instead of consuming around that amount, the workflow deducted nearly 20,000 credits from my account.
I immediately opened a support case because I genuinely thought this had to be a bug.
My biggest concern isn't even the number of credits. It's that the displayed estimate and the actual consumption were nowhere near each other. If the final cost can end up being more than 15 times higher than what is shown before execution, then the estimate isn't something users can reliably use when deciding whether to run a workflow.
Another frustrating part is the support experience. It's extremely difficult to reach a real person. Most responses appear automated, making it hard to get a clear explanation about what actually happened.
At this point I've already disabled my subscription renewal because I don't feel comfortable continuing to use a platform where I can't predict how many credits a workflow will actually consume.
I'm currently waiting for the outcome of my support case, and I hope they either explain exactly how almost 20,000 credits were calculated or reverse the excess charges if this was a UI issue or a billing error.
Has anyone else experienced something similar?
Did your workflow ever consume dramatically more credits than the estimate shown before execution?
I'd really like to know whether this is an isolated issue or something other users have encountered as well.
