How to leave climate running?

What is the best way to leave the car on with the climate controls running, such as when an animal is in the car?

I noticed that when the car is plugged in, it turns off after 30 minutes, which was super surprising to me.

CCS or NACS to Chademo?

Can anyone recommend a CCS or NACS to Chademo adaptor to fast charge the Outlander? I know it's a bit of a strange feature given it's a PHEV - and it was super strange they used Chademo when as far as I can tell it's more or less impossible to find in the US - but I'm still interested. I saw Ionna offered half off charging for Memorial Day weekend so thought, what the heck.

Hi all, we are considering selling an Ioniq 5 which has given us some grief and buying an Equinox EV.

Any recommendations regarding:

- Model year
- FWD vs AWD
- Trim?

Locally (in Knoxville, TN) all can be found with low miles for roughly $20–28k.

We get snow a few times a year, and ice more than that, and we somewhat regularly go into the mountains.

There is a 2024 Launch Edition that checks all the marks, but I was a little uncertain, mostly due to the AWD range penalty and the larger wheels.

Thanks for any advice!

I recently bought a 2024 sel Awd ioniq 5 with around 24,000 miles. There were some flags right away - the range was showing at around 190 in eco mode at 96% charge (yikes). And a dongle showed the state of health was 92.7%. It also showed the car was principally fast charged and I believe it was located in Florida - maybe it was often at high SOC and warm. I didn't quite know better and assumed above 90% still sounded good, but now living with it and reading more, it sounds... not great. Further making it seem not great is that the remaining energy is showing around 60 kWh when at 100% SOC - not great for a 77ish kWh pack!

I posted earlier about this here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Ioniq5/s/z71L9S5pIJ

I contacted the dealer and spoke to a manager and they didn't have much to say except it's under warranty if there's an issue. My sense is that even EV dealers are not that fluent in some of the nuances of capacity / range / state of health. Or maybe I'm really in the weeds 🙃

I'm sure what to do. I've spoken to several dealerships and none are scared off by taking in the car as a trade. I can more or less sell it for what I bought it for, minus doc fee / other small fees. If it were truly at 93% of something like the original range / capacity, I'd be inclined to keep it and wait and see if it stabilizes after better care, but it's not clear to me what the 93% means; the guess o meter shows around 250 miles of range in city driving at around 3.7 kWh / mile. I'm considering trading for an Equinox EV, which seems less fun but maybe less hassle. Thoughts / advice welcome.
