The US is reducing military exercises with key the regional ally South Korea. This does not directly affect the Philippines, but is a reminder that we shouldn't outsource the security and sovereignty of our country to the US and aim to built up a military defence capable of defending our archipelago by itself.

Is this difficult to achieve? Yes.

Is it going to cost a lot of money? Unfortunately.

Do we still have a long way to go? Absolutely.

But there is no alternative. This always has to be the long-term goal - self reliance.

That said, alliances are of course important and expanding our cooperation with other countries further helps us built a deterrent towards China.

Can anyone recommend a somewhat affordable AM4 ITX motherboard other than jingyue? So far I only found a gigabyte for 7k. I'm pairing it with a 5600G and a 6800XT in a Sugo 16 case, so I won't need anything fancy. Thanks for any suggestions!

That excitment of wanting to go into battle against overwhelming odds. The recent E-day footage made me rewatch the old trailers again and I feel E-Day just nails the vibe of Gears of old. Stuff that get's your adrenalin pumping just like this trailer did back in the day. Can't wait for October 6th.

This may be an odd question, but I sometimes need to work away from home for a few weeks and usually work on my laptop. I several screens and an ultrawide monitor at home so I genuinely hate working on a tiny 13 inch laptop screen. Now, one solution I'm looking at is getting Xreal glasses so I no longer need to use a laptop screen when I'm away from home. Which made me think - I could just use a handheld with extra keyboard and mouse and get rid of the laptop. So the big question for me is - how long does the battery last in desktop mode using regular web browsing?
