Hello hello!

I'm Izzy, 28F from a small, Islamic country in Southeast Asia.

A little about me: I am currently still in uni, doing my PhD. Away from academics, I like to bake breads and cookies. I recently joined a pop up and sold some of my bakes, which was such a fun learning experience! I like to find something extraordinary in the ordinary, and also I like to look at the clouds and make up their shapes. The other day, a cloud formation gave me a middle finger 🤣 So rude!

I enjoy watching action/crime movies & shows like Red Eye, Slow Horses, and the Spiderman movie franchise. I also like tear-jerking movies - I like to torture myself watching them, and would end up with swollen eyes from all the crying. Similar thing can be said about my reading choices.

I'm in my late 20s (F), and I have never been in a relationship before or even talking stage. I have tried dating apps but my intention was always "cari kawan" as in legit a friend saja lol

I've thought of just letting myself be single until my last breath. Pasal mcm hopeless rasanya for me - nada experience, nada the 'aesthetics' that guys usually look for, and I'm used to being alone. However, recently, the urge or the need to be loved and wanting to love someone started to timbul. So, I figured, why not give it a go - like actually try - and if inda menyangkut, jadi sebatang kera tah saja ku until I retire and die 🤣

It's kind of scary, though. Idk how to start or what kind of things to be wary about. I'm scared to approach someone dpn-dpn because I'm not conventionally pretty or, well, small. Online dating is even scarier because you won't know the person until it's time to meet up, and they might see me and be disgusted (that happened with an online friend lmaoo). I know I'm overthinking about this but hey, this is very very new to me 😬 Any advice would be helpful, especially from the girlies! ✨️
