What do you guys think of Jungwon? I don’t see him getting cooked much on this sub

I don’t see many lashings about him on this sub, so here are my opinions on him.

I don’t know what they were thinking when they put a teenager in charge of a group. why they give the burden of an entire group on the second youngest member. Is he a bad leader? .... he is definitely very controversial, and I would say somewhat inmature

The older members always put him on the front line to deal with the group’s problems, like with this whole OT7 thing. And now he’s the one who ended up looking like he hates Heeleft, with OT7s mocking him for it.

As for his skills, well, gp say his voice is the most distinctive in the group, I have to admit that he sounds good in the songs when he don’t make it sound so nasal, but honestly, his voice doesn’t sound that good live. I don’t know why these idols don’t take vocal lessons when they literally have all the resources available to them.

As for dancing, he’s the second-best dancer in the group. Although I’d say he’s been surpassing NK lately when it comes to charisma and stage presence. They have two very different dancing styles, so I guess it depends on which one you prefer. I do think JW sometimes overdances, but he’s a good performer tho.

What triggers me about him is his problematic relationship with food. When I was a fan, the way he acted made me think he either had or was going to develop an ED. He has never made offensive comments about SN’s weight, but he is way too obsessive about his own weight. Like bro, stop. You don’t need to work out just because you ate a donut. The company has a lot to do with it too, bc I remember that back in his rookie days, he wanted to eat something but one of the staff members stopped him because he was on a diet. I mean, what diet? He’s literally skin and bones.

Another thing is that he’s way too parasocial with his fans. OMG, what is the need to do so many livestreams and tell them he loves them every two seconds? Stop mf 😭. I think he tries way too hard to earn their affection, and sometimes it just becomes anoying. He’s on his way to becoming Bang Chan 2.0

I can’t really talk about his I-LAND era because I didn’t watch it.

I think they’d be better off apart than together as a group.

I don’t know if they would do well as soloists. Honestly, I don’t think most of them would. But at this point, I feel like the group is unsustainable in the long run.

When Heeseung left, they kept pushing this narrative of “we’re going to stay together forever,” but ever since then, they haven’t stopped fucking things up.

What happened was painful and something that never should have happened, and it’s going to remain in the group’s and the fandom’s history forever.

If Heeseung’s departure was already a huge blow to the group’s image and structure, to the point that many people left the fandom and stopped supporting them, I think what happened this time is something that might be irreparable.

For starters, this is going to discourage people from joining the fandom, and on top of that, the company’s handling of the situation has been nonexistent. I don’t think BELIFT is going to make a statement about what happened because, first, I imagine it’s something that’s currently under investigation, and second, Ni-ki’s image in China is completely destroyed. Over there, they’ve decided that he was the main cause of the situation and calling him a murd*** and the company isn’t going to risk damaging its image in such an important market. I don’t think the group is going to say anything about it either, at least not for now. Maybe later, who knows.

In the end, this is going to affect the group, and it’s well known that you need the general public especially when you’re trying to recover your audience after losing a member.

And it also seems like their bond isn’t strong enough to keep the group together forever, and that they’re only sticking around because they make good money as a group.

I think if they haven’t renewed their contracts and their next comeback performs badly, they might seriously reconsider whether it’s worth continuing as a group

What do you guys think??

What the hell is he doing performing at the Grammy Museum?

Honestly, he has to be the company's golden boy. How is it possible that he hasn't even released his debut mini album yet—I honestly thought he was going to be a different kind of artist, someone who would take music seriously and debut with a full-length album—and he's already booked for performances like this?

I was looking into which K-pop soloists have performed at Recording Academy events, and there really aren't that many. Most of them already had well-established careers by the time they were invited. I mean, I seriously doubt the Recording Academy saw his solo debut and thought, "This is the next superstar, we have to invite him," lmao.

HYBE's industry connections are honestly insane. The amount they're doing to help launch his solo career and give it the best possible chance of succeeding is incredible

It also makes me wonder if the real reason he left the group was because a solo career was simply impossible with the group's packed schedule, or if the company wanted to launch him as a soloist because they genuinely believed he could become the next Jungkook. And since he'd always wanted to be the center of attention, he took the opportunity to leave the group when it finally came.
