Not her throwing a tantrum

Someone tell this person streams drop after a while. And it's normal to lose interest because his songs were mid, he danced like jojo siwa and he has an awkward face and style now. If you can't meet people's expectations they will lose interest. Not everyone has a parasocial relationship with him.

And blame belift for not promoting his album properly maybe.

What do you guys think of Jungwon? I don’t see him getting cooked much on this sub

I don’t see many lashings about him on this sub, so here are my opinions on him.

I don’t know what they were thinking when they put a teenager in charge of a group. why they give the burden of an entire group on the second youngest member. Is he a bad leader? .... he is definitely very controversial, and I would say somewhat inmature

The older members always put him on the front line to deal with the group’s problems, like with this whole OT7 thing. And now he’s the one who ended up looking like he hates Heeleft, with OT7s mocking him for it.

As for his skills, well, gp say his voice is the most distinctive in the group, I have to admit that he sounds good in the songs when he don’t make it sound so nasal, but honestly, his voice doesn’t sound that good live. I don’t know why these idols don’t take vocal lessons when they literally have all the resources available to them.

As for dancing, he’s the second-best dancer in the group. Although I’d say he’s been surpassing NK lately when it comes to charisma and stage presence. They have two very different dancing styles, so I guess it depends on which one you prefer. I do think JW sometimes overdances, but he’s a good performer tho.

What triggers me about him is his problematic relationship with food. When I was a fan, the way he acted made me think he either had or was going to develop an ED. He has never made offensive comments about SN’s weight, but he is way too obsessive about his own weight. Like bro, stop. You don’t need to work out just because you ate a donut. The company has a lot to do with it too, bc I remember that back in his rookie days, he wanted to eat something but one of the staff members stopped him because he was on a diet. I mean, what diet? He’s literally skin and bones.

Another thing is that he’s way too parasocial with his fans. OMG, what is the need to do so many livestreams and tell them he loves them every two seconds? Stop mf 😭. I think he tries way too hard to earn their affection, and sometimes it just becomes anoying. He’s on his way to becoming Bang Chan 2.0

I can’t really talk about his I-LAND era because I didn’t watch it.

Songs that had more potential

Some of their songs especially the ones that came out in recent years could have been better. I think producers wasted the potential of these songs.

The first one is bad desire. This song is so short. Too much autotune and there is no bridge. Which sucks because the melody is nice.

The second one is daydream. I like the beat and the chorus but why are they whispering the whole song? Again too short.

Bgdc. This is not really my favorite genre but it could have been handled better. The problem is it doesn't even reach 2 minutes lol.

Sweet venom. It's a bit plain and boring. Needed a better producing. I like the remix more.

Do you think there are songs like these?

This Account called xia posted pictures of several accounts and username to report. Why even go this far for people you don't even know? Is asking for accountablity gonna kill niki? Afterall, Because of what he said, mina got hate commnets. So, Why cant he just acknowledge the situation just like jungwon did with that controversial borat tshirt?

Due to widespread boycotts, Samyang has already removed all promotional content for ENHYPEN in China

Because of Nishimura Riki, ENHYPEN as a group will also be boycotted in China. Major brands, think it through China is one of the world's largest consumer markets, whether for luxury goods or retail food. Many brands consider their endorsers' reputation in China when selecting them; if they insist on using artists with scandals, it will be automatically assumed they've given up on the Chinese market.

"Neither Ni-Ki nor BELIFT has confirmed that his remarks were directed at Mina."

Why have they failed to issue a denial?

They're not shy about denying things that are patently true (it you know...), so either way (lying or telling the truth) this wouldn't be terribly challenging—especially when there are thousands of fans desperately shielding as a matter of course who are ready to believe it and make it go viral.

Do you think Belift should address the situation in any form like at least a statement?

Like the last 1-2 days I’ve seen major American and international news articles such as People covering the unfortunate Mina situation and honestly I’m actually shocked Belift hasn’t even put out a blanket statement yet about fan behaviour and condolences.

The members are chronically online especially JW, he can address a shirt controversy in a couple hours so there is no way they don’t know about this situation it’s literally in every enhypen social media sites.

I think they definitely should put a statement out because it’s human decency.

I think I've finally had enough with the group and the fandom.

Ever since Mar 10, Enhypen has never been the same. They changed so much, and they're no longer the group I once fell in love with. Honestly, even their last album wasn't my favorite, I was already disappointed then. The rebrand is ugly af too and gives me trypophobia. After Heeseung left, and the shit show that ensued, I really can't keep stanning the group anymore... not to mention I fking hate engenes. I refuse to be called an engene anymore. That fandom is toxic af

The illusion of them being a happy group of guys who love each other and their job shattered for me. They were once the reason why I smiled. Now they're a source of pain and sadness for me. They were once my escape from my mental woes, now they're partly the cause of my mental health struggles.

Members leaving, fans dying, and the way everything being handled really left a bad taste in my mouth. Not to mention, I just really don't respect Hybe (and its sub labels) as a company. I admit they produce talented artists and decent music, but the way they manage everything is embarassing.

For a while I thought the members themselves were enough to keep me, but even the members have changed. They became so unc. Sunghoon used to have the flower boy vibe, now he's like a gym bro who dances to phonk. Ni-ki was so handsome during No Doubt era idk what happened. I hate Jake's new hair. Jungwon is my bias and he stills handsome, but his constant ED talk triggers me. Heeseung ruined his face with all the ps he got lately. Sunoo has too much filler and Jay's jawline is starting to go. They look exhausted and tired af too, which I understand considering how overworked they are, but it is distracting when you're trying to enjoy the performance. It makes me pity them, instead of focusing on the music.

They all laugh and act like an ahjussi. I like it when idols are a little cute, but now they're too "cool" to ever act cute for fans anymore. Maybe except Sunoo, but even he said he doesn't want to act cute anymore.

They barely smile for photos either, except for candid fan taken ones. And I honestly hate their newest concept photos for the Sin : Bliss. That weird 80s inspired look is not doing it for me. Honestly, I don't like the freaking Sin series, period.

They never perform my favorite songs anymore. Always the same 15 songs. No Fatal Trouble, Still Monster, Sacrifice, hell, they don't even perform Sweet Venom or Bad Desire anymore.

And yes, Heeseung leaving will and has affected the quality of their sound, no matter how hard their fans try to deny it. He was their strongest vocalist and most talented member, it was a massive loss. And I'm not looking forward to this next album tbh

Honestly, I cried a lot over this. I know this sounds dramatic but I genuinely loved them so much. I was such a huge fan, and it feels like my comfort place has been taken away from me. The group I once fell in love with doesn't exist anymore. I had a high of 2 weeks after seeing them live (I booked VIP2 tickets months in advance so I went), but just when I thought the Heeseung thing was finally blowing over, the Mina situation, which I argue is even worse, happened.

I thought I could get over it, but honestly, I can't. It's all becoming too much and I think I've finally had enough. I've stopped listening to their music for now to give myself a break. But maybe once I move on, I can listen to them casually again.

I don't hate the group, I just fell out of love with them. I hate their company and fans though. It's so sad because they were the reason why I took up singing lessons and Korean lessons. Seeing them in person at their concert was the highlight of my entire year. They were the first group I ever cared enough to buy a lot of albums for and vote on music shows or award shows... I genuinely loved every single member. Loved their music. Loved their performances. Loved everything about them.

But I guess all good things come to an en(d).

Niki should acknowledge what happened

Guys, I know I’m going to get jumped for saying this, but I believe there is no world where it’s okay for Ni-ki to completely ignore someone who died over the backlash drawn to her following his words. All I've been seeing online is how he is oh-so-innocent and needs to take zero accountability for anything that happened. Like, are we for real right now?

I don't want to bring other groups into this, but to make my point clearer, look at the massive hate train IVE got after Bang Chan’s words. Of course, nobody got physically hurt that time, so it's a slightly different situation, but IVE received huge backlash and harassment online all because of the vague-ass words of a male idol (and bang chan also got a lot of hate over how he has to choose her words more carefully and take more accountability which were all right but when its Niki suddenly everyone is infantalizing him. I barely see him getting the same backlash from fans when his actions actually led to much bigger consequences).

I'm not saying his words in the live were targeted towards her. Niki had no way of knowing it would escalate into this BUT it did so why is he suddenly disappearing online waiting for things to calm down. Why are we prioritizing the mental health of a millionaire performer over the LIFE of another person.

When an idol's careless comments spark a dogpile this intense, acting like they bear zero responsibility for the fallout is ridiculous. Fanbases take those open-ended statements and use them as ammunition to harass people. When that harassment escalates to real world consequences, staying completely silent and pretending you had nothing to do with it isn't okay. Idols need to start taking accountability for the weight their platforms carry.

note: english is not my first language so I hope my rant its readable

edit: seeing all the comments here made me disillusioned about how kpop fandoms operate. I'm not going to respond to anymore comments but before you type out a comment just know that I will be giggling and shitting myself over you trying to be hurtful. I am a changed person fr. I simply tried to give my opinion didn't know these subs for "controversial takes" were only a safe place if you had the right controversial takes.
