Could it be that countries go to war when they are about to perish or have massive unrest within the nation?
Russia, US, Israel, all of these nations chose war, just when their leadership ratings were dropping or when economy seemed to be faltering.
Is it true, that political leaders will choose war to keep power and to keep citizens engaged in patriotic fervour?
Is it also true that when things go bad, such that they are about to to perish, then they chose to go to war, hence every great civilization ends with a war, rather than slow rot from within?
