Its been a tough job hunt here in riyadh as a filipino fresh graduate :(
Im a fresh graduate of bachelor of science in architecture. Instead of doing my internship in the Philippines, i went to KSA Riyadh to work there as a junior architect (since they consider you as one once you get your bachelors degree) or as an architectural/Design assistant. 2 years doing apprenticeship and getting lower than minimum wage in the Philippines doesnt sit right with me so i wanted to work abroad instead but its been really hard applying left and right only to get nothing, not even a response.
Theres a lot of open positions but most are only eligible for saudi nationals only. A lot of people actually offered to help, my fathers friends but even them found it hard to take me in. At first they were eager and actually told us that its going to be easy to get in but it took a major turn and thats not what happend. at this point maybe my cv didnt impress them enough or my renders in my portfolio is lacking but ive been doing everything. Maybe if anyone could give me an advice because im almost 2 months jobless and my batchmates are already moving forward.
