Whats life in Saudi for Non White Expats?

I've read that non white expats get a very different welcome from whites in Saudi.

Is this true ?

Am based in the UK and considering maybe moving to Saudi for work but I've heard that the locals will automatically give you a lower tier treatment if you are a person of colour.

Friends in Riyadh

Hey all. Its my 7th month in Riyadh. And what I learnt as an Expat is that the most important thing here are friends. Without them, the loneliness is very difficult, no matter how beautiful and diverse the city may be.

Me and a few friends decided to make a group, with the intention of meeting more people, connecting and relating to their stories, and building bonds along the way. We are looking forward to building a positive community with different interests, nationalities and ideas.

We want to keep the group diverse and inclusive, with communication in a common language so everyone can participate and no one feels left out

DM me for the link to be able to join

Help me out with this

SAB bank access from India using STC SIM
I’m travelling from Saudi Arabia to India and I have my Saudi STC SIM linked to my SAB bank account.
If my salary is credited to my Saudi bank account while I’m in India, will I still be able to access the SAB app and receive the OTP on my Saudi STC number?
I’ll be using the STC SIM on a normal plan, not an international roaming package. I mainly need it for receiving bank OTPs, while I’ll use an Indian SIM/eSIM for data.
Has anyone actually tried this from India? Do I need to activate STC international roaming, or will incoming SMS/OTPs work on the normal plan?
Thanks!

Are you guys planning to settle down in Saudi Arabia or is it just temporary?

I keep hearing that expats in Saudi are only there to give citizens skills and experience because locals are seen as less skilled, and that it's not a good idea to bring your family and settle down there?

Especially since there aren't enough job opportunities for locals, and they are pushing to localize jobs through something called Saudization.

Hello.

What is it like being a nurse in Saudi Arabia?

How is it like for expats? Is the pay good? How are the hours? How is the work-life balance? Would it be worth it for an experienced nurse to move from America to KSA (especially for hijrah)

Make friends before my birthday

Hello! I would love to start creating a community for myself. I am 28F from Lebanon. I have lived in Hungary and Slovakia for 8 years and just relocated to Riyadh.

I miss the European vibe already, and would be nice to hang out with people, I speak arabic, english, french and communicative slovak.

I loooooove going out on side quests lol, try new restaurants, and cook for whoever asks (any type of cuisine, challenge me)😂

Drop me your IG and we can connect✨️

Making friends & building a little community in Riyadh ✨

Hi everyone! I’m a 31F Saudi living in Riyadh, and I’d love to build a small community of people who enjoy getting out, trying new things and making genuine friendships.
I’m looking for people who are up for badminton 🏸, cycling 🚲, trying new cafés and restaurants, exploring different places around Riyadh, or just going out and changing the mood.
I’d love for this to become a group where we can actually plan things together, try new activities and make some good memories along the way.
If you’re also looking to meet new people and get out of the usual routine, feel free to drop your Instagram or DM me and let’s connect! ✨

Looking for a job in Supply chain or business support. US citizen, Arabic fluent speaker

Salam everyone, looking to find a job or job agencies that are willing to find me a job or secure me an interview in KSA. I have spent 10 years in the US and finally looking to make the move to KSA, UAE or QATAR mainly. I love the culture and looking to bring my knowledge that I have learned here. Here is a snippet of my experience. Anyone can help me find agencies that can
-Fix my resume/CV format so it can fit GCC standards
-Agencies that help me secure a job, interview by taking a cut or so.
-Connections are much appreciated, have plenty on LinkedIn as of now
-Any help is much appreciated!

moved to riyadh- want to meet new friends

hello everyone 27M.
i moved to riyadh almost a year ago and honestly, most of that time has just been work, gym, and the usual routine. figured i should probably get out more and actually meet some people lol.

i’m a software engineer, arabic is my first language but i’m fluent in english too. i’m pretty much down for anything .i like both solo and group activities and i’m always open to trying something new.

i’m into the gym and sports in general, but i’m also a bit of a nerd and can easily get stuck in random conversations about history , tech, weird topics, or whatever we end up talking about.

if you’re also looking to meet new people or you already have a group that wouldn’t mind one more person, feel free to comment or dm me. no pressure, we can just grab coffee first and see if we vibe.
