Navigating tipping scenarios in the US

Hi, I'm visiting SF this week for a business trip. This is my first time in the US, I am from an Asian country. Could you please guide me on what to do / not do while in SF - specially around the tipping culture, as I don't want to come across as someone who is inconsiderate.

  1. I will be staying in a high-end 4 star hotel in Mission Bay area. Who all should be tipped at the hotel and how much?
  2. How much do I need to tip at restaurants?
  3. Do I need to tip for takeaways?
  4. Do I need to tip at coffee shops or is it only at restaurants where you go for lunch / dinner that you are expected to tip?
  5. Do I need to tip Uber drivers?
  6. What about stores like Apple, Best Buy, Super Markets - are tips expected there?

As you can see I'm pretty stressed about this tipping culture and don't want to make a faux pas while I am there!

Also, any general advise that you can share with a first time visitor would be very useful. Want to be on the right side of the law while I am there.

Two days in SF - Can I Fit These Errands?

Hi! I’ll be visiting SF for a week in July for some office meetings and will have two half-days free: Monday after 2 PM and Saturday until about 4 PM.

I have a few personal errands planned and wanted to check:

  1. Whether these are realistic to complete within the time I have.
  2. Any recommended places to go for each.
  3. Whether I need appointments in advance.

My list:

  1. Get my iPhone checked at an Apple Store for a heating issue and, if needed, have the battery replaced.

  2. Buy Meta Ray-Ban glasses with prescription lenses.

  3. Purchase a Whoop band.

  4. Visit one or two great bookstores.

Any recommendations or suggested itinerary would be appreciated. I’ll be staying near Mission Bay but am happy to travel elsewhere in the city if needed.
Thanks!

How to feed thousands of files in Knowledge Base?

I am new to OWUI. I have 30K+ files on my personal computer with a total size of ~500 Mb. These are code files for a personal project on local.

I want to feed these into a model I created on OWUI so I can ask questions on entire code base and fix some issues (I think similar to how Claude Cowork works).

I tried using Knowledge Base for uploading the directory but it stopped after 400-500 files even after multiple tries.

How can I achieve this? Apologies if this sounds stupid question - I am learning all this new world tech.
