I’ll be going Sunday only. First time at Watkins Glen and first Imsa race. I’ll be going with my wife and 5 year old son

How early should I try and get there to have sufficient time to check out the paddock?

I got the infield parking pass to cut down on some steps and for convenience but where exactly is the infield parking area? Or is there multiple spots? None of the maps I’ve seen show anything for that

Where do you recommend watching the race start from?

How bad is traffic leaving after the race?

I already plan to bring plenty of drinks and sunscreen but any other suggestions or tips for the day? Any and all input is appreciated
