Why is my bettas tank so good for plants?

the only other things in it is 2 amano shrimp and plants do do well in it that dwarf baby tears that was on the brink of death is thriving. it doesn’t even need water changes.

Does anyone have advice on setting up a 55 gallon?

I have a 55 gallon tank that is unused, but I do not know what I need (besides like filter and heating). does anyone know everything that I need and maybe anything else to help the tank live long. Also of anyone knows about stocking that would help too.
