Hi everyone! My friend and I are 30 (women) going to Atlantic City for the first time as a girls trip, and we’re staying at Ocean Casino Resort. We’ll be there Thursday through Saturday afternoon in August.

Every time I try to TikTok Atlantic City for recommendations, I feel like I’m getting mostly promoted/sponsored content, so I figured Reddit would be much more helpful!

We’re planning on doing a mix of gambling, the pool, dinners, shows, and happy hours. We’d also be down for a club/nightlife night if there’s something worth checking out.

A few questions:

• Casino: Does Ocean offer free drinks while gambling on the floor? Is there anything we should know about getting drinks/using our players cards?
• New member promo: I saw Ocean has a new-member promotion. Is it worth signing up for Ocean Rewards before we start gambling? Any tips on getting the most out of it?
• Nightlife: Do AC clubs have promoters walking around offering free/discounted entry like they do in Vegas? I’ve had promoters approach me in Vegas with free entry, so wondering if AC is similar.
• Clubs/bars: What would you recommend for two 30-year-old women who want a fun night out but aren’t necessarily looking for a crazy college-party atmosphere?
• Happy hours: What are the absolute best happy hours we should hit, especially near Ocean?
• Food: Any restaurants we absolutely shouldn’t miss? We’re open to both nicer dinners and casual spots.
• Pool: Anything we should know about Ocean’s pool/pool club? Is there a particular day/time that’s better?
• Activities: Anything else that’s a must-do for first-time visitors?

We’re staying at Ocean, but definitely don’t mind walking around the Boardwalk or going to another casino/resort if it’s worth it.

Basically, give us all your best first-time AC advice, tips, hidden gems, places to avoid, and things you wish you knew before going! We’re trying to have a fun girls’ trip without spending money unnecessarily.
