9070 XT rebinding to amdgpu crashes the driver after vm shutdown.

Hi there lovely people.

I have been pulling my hair for the past 4 days. I am here asking for suggestions and a possible fix.

The vm (win 11) works and it runs as expected with the gpu passed through, installed amd gpu drivers on windows and all happy. Now, when i shutdown the vm, and try to rebinds the 9070 xt to the linux host to get my desktop back, it kind of rebinds to the amdgpu drivers but there is no display and nothing, the kernel messages that the amdgpu crashes. I cannot even reboot using the command line, I have to hard reset the pc with the powerbutton.

I do manual unbinding and rebinding of the gpu drivers and managed is off in the vm xml. I aslo echo the rebar to 8 tried with 3 as well but same results and also tried forcing d0 state... nothing helped.

Any suggestions?

Many thanks.

Update: I give up, dual booting it is... till this stupid damn bug gets fixed

LIQUID FREEZER III Pro 240 performance and R5 9600x cooling issue?

Hi all,

I have upgraded my cheapo £15 cpu air cooler to the LIQUID freezer iii pro 240 aio and I have seen almost no improvement to my cpu temps, infact the performance is almost identical.

Now do have in mind that this is the first time I am dabbling with AIOs and after some reviews, this AIO should be more than capable enough too cool my 9600x.

In stock, my 9600x pulling just around 88 watts on full load with 65-70c temps. Which is pretty reasonable, and i have been getting the same temps on the air cooler.

Now when I enable pbo and 200mhz oc with -40 under volt and let that bad boy pull power, both cooler will reach 95c tjmax limits and will throttle to aroujd 5.2 ghz pulling the same 128-130 watts of power. Remember that it should be on 5.6ghz with the oc.

I have expected that the aio would keep the cpu cooler under the same conditions, i have seen reviews of the same cooler handling 240watts no problem. I do understand that it is easier to cool two ccd chips but still, i expected 130watts to be a no problem for almost any aio.

Do enlighten me on why this is happening and if it is not expected results, what could possibly be wrong.

P.S. I have checked that the fans are working and the pump does infact pump, one tube is always cooler than the other and hot air is definitely coming off the radiator.

I am using the single cable to control the whole unit since I dont have enough fan headers on my motherboard.

Many thanks

Netbird phone UI and favourite / quick network toggle

Hi all,

What do you think about adding a favourite networks toggle right under the big "CONNECT" button or having a homescreen widget for certain network and route toggles on android or iOS?

I was wondering if people switch networks as often as i do, especially in the homelab setting.

Have a beautiful day
