Went down the rabbit hole when I switched from guitar to bass a couple years ago. Currently using a Aguilar Tone Hammer V2 w/ TU3, Empress Bass Comp, Boss OC5, and a EBS chorus before the Tone Hammer. Basses are MIM P-Basses, MIM Jazz Basses, a USA PJ, Korean Spector and franken P-Bass. I have a trace Elliot ELF 1x10 combo w/ 1x10 ext cab. Mostly playing classic rock, southern rock, some metal. The OD in the Tone Hammer is meh, are bass OD’s voiced that much differently than guitar OD’s? I have a bunch of decent guitar OD’s just not sure where to place in chain and if the voicing is going to make a difference.

Still new to bass (2 years) and have tried flatwound and round wound and have found that the Billy Sheehan Rotosound strings seem to work best for me. .43-.110 gauge, sound good on basic rock/ blues to metal.
Any input on other string sets would come in handy to a noob like myself.
