I make recurring income from a piece of plastic on shop counters.
Starting off, I think that this is passive enough to be in this subreddit, because after you sign, its completely hands off, but its definitely a blurry line. (so if you want very very low barrier to entry maybe skip this)
I'm a college student and I recently designed this placard that sits on the counter at local shops. it has an nfc tap / qr code that takes customers straight to the shop's google review page, and I made software so it doubles as a digital punch card (buy 9 get 1 free type deal) so customers come back and businesses don't want to stop paying. so its not just a fancy nfc review link, it does reviews AND repeat business. shops pay monthly for it because reviews are basically their lifeline.
So far the times I've tried selling it have been pretty easy as they already know why it's useful.
math wise, just ONE placard sold daily, for just ONE month, at 29/mo+ per (so lets say an average of 39/mo) is 14k+ annually (churn excluded).
and you can see how at that math could get really good if you manage to sell one a day for a whole year.
I've begun to get some of my friends selling these too, taking a commission of course.
I thought it also might be a good idea to post here to see if anyone else could be interested in selling them. Im also possibly open to shipping people a few cards for free if you could hop on a call and if you seem like a good fit and can also give feedback. Also US exclusive for now.
Any of you who are interested or have feedback I would love if you could send me a dm. I'm happy to answer questions.
‼️EDIT: I’m getting so many comments for me to DM I think reddit is now filtering me out of message requests. If you are interested in working with me please send me a message request directly. (I promise I will get back to you and thank you for all the support!)‼️
