Insomnia effecting decision making
Sleep deprived to the point where I’m considering relapse. I have done everything. Can’t even type much more than this.

Drinking my coffee this morning and staring out at the beach and realizing today is one month free.
I am feeling good without it. I haven’t thought about kratom+7+extracts in about a week now. Living life. Enjoying a beautiful vacation without it.
I was in full kratom degenerate mode before this so I assure you, if I can do it you can too. Staying vigilant. Stay the course of the battle and come out on top, you’ll be prouder of yourself on the other side.
I am lucky enough to be going on a beautiful trip in around a week. I am on day 15 currently and I always associate vacations with using kratom to ensure I am in a warm upbeat bubble of fun with no negative emotion and unlimited energy, or so I convince myself.
This will be my first time going on a big trip without it and I am struggling to convince myself that I will be able to have a good time, and starting to bargain and justify why it would be okay for me to go back.
Insane as I recently just got out of full blown withdrawal. Why do we forget pain so easily?
I caved and scheduled a doctors appointment to hopefully get some sort of sleep medication. I had access to gabapentin and it was the only night I have been well rested. My sleep has actually gotten worse the further out I am going and this insomnia has put more strain on my relationship and job than kratom did. I am still committed to my quit.
My questions are, how do I ask for a specific prescription without coming off as drug seeking? My intake notes I only mentioned insomnia and RLS. I am aiming for a gabapentin prescription.
I have tried all supplements, epsom baths, exercise, breathing, etc. I feel as though if I do not sleep soon I may go back to my habit. Trazadone sent me into an RLS hell.
My plan will be to have my girlfriend dispense these as needed if I end up getting a prescription.
Hello,
I’m on day 4 and I am struggling with insomnia and restlessness. Today is the first day I have been bargaining with myself.
What’s the point of this if I am even more exhausted and tired than I was before? What’s the point if I can function normally? I am feeling really lost and am going to attend my first meeting tonight. I’m taking the supplements, exercising, hot baths, eating right.
I am trying to create a plan for when I bargain with myself that’s it’s okay to slip up. All advice is much appreciated.
I’ll keep it as succinct as possible, this saga started for me back in 2017 with the usual story: marketed as a safe coffee alternative, and a miracle for every ailment under the sun. It got its claws in me real good.
In September of 2020 I was able to become completely sober after many failed attempts, as this felt like the only way I could stay off. I built a support system with meetings, counselors and was extremely open about my issues. Life was fantastic.
October of 2023 I went on a trip, and thought a few vials of extract would be a great way to kick back and relax. Flash forward to 2026 I am struggling daily, the product landscape has been completely changed with the rise of 7oh.
Luckily I have been careful with 7oh and never did more than three days on. This still has left me in a constant need for regular extract to function. I have decided to stop the extract and do a powder only taper over the next month and jump off. I need to get back on the wagon.
Have any of you slipped up and successfully beaten this a second time? Any tips?
I have a wonderful girlfriend, good job, and I don’t want to lose all of this for something that makes me nauseous, doesn’t work anymore and is ruining my finances and future success.
