LF for employment

Does anyone know of any places currently hiring in West Virginia, particularly around the Charleston area?
I’ve been looking at job listings, but I figured I’d ask here in case anyone knows of companies that are actively hiring or need people ASAP.
Any recommendations or leads would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Is this normal skin around my stoma? Looking for advice

Hi everyone, I’ve had my colostomy for many years, but I’ve recently been having problems with the skin around my stoma.

I noticed that the skin around the stoma looks red, irritated, and somewhat discolored, especially underneath/around the edge. The stoma itself also looks quite large and swollen compared with what I’m used to.

I’m wondering if this could be from leakage, irritation from the adhesive, or possibly a fungal/yeast infection. I’ve also had problems getting my appliance to seal properly because the skin around my stoma isn’t completely even.

I attached a photo. Does anyone with an ostomy have experience with skin that looks like this? What did you do to protect/heal the skin, and when did you decide it was time to see a WOC/ostomy nurse or doctor?

I’m currently uninsured, so I’m also interested in affordable options for getting this checked.

Thanks in advance. ❤️

I know Reddit can’t diagnose me, and I’ll seek medical care if it looks concerning—I’m mainly hoping to hear from people who have experienced something similar.

Stoma too big

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some advice.
My stoma measures approximately 120mm wide and 50mm tall, and I’m having a very hard time finding an ostomy bag that fits. So far I’ve only tried one-piece systems, and the largest opening I’ve found still seems too small.
Because of the size and shape of my stoma, I’m worried about getting a proper seal and preventing leaks. I also don’t currently have insurance, so I’m trying to find affordable solutions if possible.
