Old rusty metal bin to colorful new hamper

Hi again! Presenting the donut mirror's sister: the colorful hamper. A friend was going to throw away this very old, grimy and rusty metal bin, but I was seduced by its beautiful shape and decided to take it home and give it a second chance.

I cleaned it, sanded off as much rust as I could, applied anticorrosive primer and went crazy with colors and patterns. Now it happily stores my bed linens.

From what I could find, I think this was originally a coal bin. Someone is selling an almost identical one an Etsy presenting it as a Victorian piece but I have my doubts.

I found this mirror discarded outside. It was just begging to be taken home and turned into a donut.
