I had my 1st IUI 5/5. I had “4 mature follicles” according to the doctor, I don’t remember the exact sizes but I think all over 17mm. I did IUI anyways as I am 43 so the chance of all those follicles being healthy eggs is low. I got a faint positive yesterday and today it was a little darker. Bloodwork tomorrow and I’m just crossing my fingers I end up with one healthy baby.

I have IUI scheduled for Tuesday 5/5/26. I am approaching this as a SMBC using donor sperm. As of today I have 4 mature follicles at 21mm, 20mm, 18mm and 17mm and my endometrium is 11mm. I am 43 so the risk of multiples isn’t as high as if I were younger (and the chances of this working at all are slim) but I’m a fraternal twin and my sisters are fraternal twins so I’m a bit nervous! It’s already a bit intimidating to pursue becoming a SMBC but I’m not sure I can handle twins! Am I crazy to proceed with this IUI cycle?
