Camo taping the M16A1

Hey all, I was looking at camo taping my M16A1 and possibly my fiance's 606 as well, but I want it to be as close to the actual tape used during Vietnam as I can possibly get. Are there any suggestions on what kind I should use? I was considering green gaff tape but wasn't sure if it was the right shade of green or not.

Both of my Retro builds!

First is my M16A1 built off a Colt parts kit with an H&R A1 lower and Israeli starlight scope (tried to frame it like the one in image 2). Second is a Colt Delta HBAR that was also built off a parts kit and has an H&R A2 lower. Not sure what my next one will be, but I'm always open to ideas.
