Am I him?
The majority of theories I’ve seen and heard over the last year and a half have been amazing. I enjoy this community and the like minded people that come along with it(for the most part). I’m glad I got involved. It’s the little things, like watching the book burn in that old wood stove. Maybe when someone tested the book for hidden messages with everything in their kitchen. When the tech clue, slowly spreading throughout a small group while everyone said it was nothing. The excitement and anxiety when the cipher was revealed. The late night conspiracies. The constant feeling of both winning and loosing. It all shows how we are as humans. “AI can’t drink wine and pour it on a book.”
Then there is the whole other side. It wasn’t dedication to solving clues. It was watching a car come together. Seeing a little baby grow bigger. Solving puzzles in chat. Drunk bar nights on an open mike. The great sending of the newts. Listening to all the “Roosters”. There’s just so much. All while searching for answers and just enjoying a good conversation! This is what underscores all of it.
I don’t talk very often, if at all, in Reddit, Discord, Facebook, or any social media for that matter. Oddly enough, the main reason is because the urge to share. It’s hard to keep a secret, especially when you must divulge information to even get a voice. The second part, is information overload. So many brilliant ideas, and some just absolutely not. These new ideas get added to the mix and just add more chaos in the end. Finally, the improbable part. If what you have works out in your solve… it’s wrong. Unless it fits that persons solve and they can tie it in. Guess what? “You might have been right!”
The truth to all of this?
This is a treasure hunt, greed is a thing just as much as gold. There is way more greed than there will ever be gold. Why does this matter? Simple. We get to choose how we conduct ourselves. I don’t see the reasoning behind some of it. I myself admit I am greedy, to an extent. My greed leans less on gold, and more on something else. The best part, it didn’t end too soon. Wouldn’t that have sucked?”I think yes!”
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Some of you might think you’re being cheated. Some of you might feel it’s unfair. Let me be the hardest truth you may hear. If your mind is on that particular wavelength, you never had a chance. Hell, you may have never had a chance either way. Who am I to know?
