Has anyone found that Yardi support has become really bad?

We are a giant Yardi practice client. One of the largest in our sector. Private cloud etc.

I’ve found in the past 2 years, Yardi support has got particularly bad. I have worked with Yardi for over 10 years and i am noticing a significant difference.

Has anyone else encountered this?

some examples: managers and even directors ignoring emails or dragging issues on for months.

being told flat out no for things even if there’s significant bugs causing financial risk. the shift to voyager 8 and ignore everything 7s is real and they are no longer doing any TRs for 7s. as one of the largest clients we have never been told no before for true bugs that are reasonable and typically work with yardi on hot fixes but it seems there’s a no exception rule now even if a bug introduces significant financial risk.

there is an extreme push for voyager 8 and ignoring bugs in 7s to force clients to switch. it is not possible to migrate one of the largest housing providers overnight to voyager 8.

i found this with multiple teams so far.

Question about TDSB bus and harness?

My special needs child will be going on a school bus for the first time. He is setup in their system and we got a doctor letter requesting him to use a harness.

Tomorrow is his scheduled first day and we haven’t heard anything. The school bus driver messaged today asking to confirm if the pickup will be tomorrow but said they don’t have vests and only have the harness.

They mentioned i need to speak with tdsb about this.

has any other parents gone through this and know more about this? is a vest provided by the tdsb?

Canadian parent confused by U.S. support person policies

I'm from Canada, and in my province many organizations provide free admission for support persons because it's generally understood that some people with disabilities need assistance to fully access and participate in activities.

I'm planning my first trip to the U.S., and I was surprised to see how differently some places handle this. For example, The Strong National Museum of Play's accessibility policy appears to only provide accommodations for caregivers from licensed facilities and specifically excludes the Access 2 Card.

I'm trying to understand the reasoning behind this. Why would a policy recognize a paid caregiver from a licensed facility but not a parent or family member who is providing the exact same necessary support for their child with a disability?

Is this a common approach in the U.S?

Biking with autistic child on the back?

Does anyone bike with their excited and sensory seeking child at the back of their bike?

I am new to biking and recently got a Giant Escape 3. My son is non verbal and is about 3.5 years old and i think he would love to sit on the bicycle with me but I keep reading different things online of the safety.

He is a child that will constantly be kicking in excitement and moving his body. I read online that this will make the carrier fall off or become too wobbly to ride straight.

Are these bike carriers that sit in the rear with a heavy duty rack good for this ? do you have any recommendations on what would work? i’m hoping to get the maximum possible weight limit to support him for this summer.

A strike in Ontario Canada just caused my sons autism program to shut down

I wonder if parents in here can relate more. I tried posting it in another subreddit but people are more focused on the money and strike position and not the reality of what this is doing to my children.

The government provides a program called entry to school which helps autistic children get prepared for school. It’s a few months of consistency and therapy that helps the children.

My non verbal child was taken out of his other therapy to attend this. We had to make changes to work so my wife can travel to take him.

Now a strike over backpay caused the entire program to close. My child will be left without therapy at all now . This puts him in a worst position.

How would you guys handle this? Everyone is just focused on the political aspects of this and not the humane aspect. Children have such a small early intervention window and we keep failing them.

Do you think waitlist funding should be sorted by severity?

i was reading www.autismwaitlist.com and it had me wondering if the waitlist for government funding makes more sense to have it sorted by severity. In some places in canada the waiting list for funding is currently 5 years.

Do you agree with this concept and what’s the funding waiting list like where you’re at ?
