Flawless albums that are too depressing to listen to all the time?
I absolutely loved this Spanish Love Songs album upon release, but I’m realizing now how little I’ve returned to it as a result of overwhelmingly depressing lyrics. At the same time though, I can’t deny that there’s a certain charm to albums like these. They require a very specific mental state to listen to, but once you’ve reached that mental preparedness, they become some of the most enjoyable/cathartic listening experiences you can possibly have.
I’m really curious if you guys have had similar experiences with other albums, and if there are any in particular you’d like to share
