What if... Bruce never became Batman discussion.
I want to write a batfam fanfic, but I'm still deciding some plot points important to the story.
My fic is going to be a good old-fashioned "What if..." AU.
The idea is simple, in my AU Bruce Wayne never became Batman, not going to give more about the plot because that's enough.
So I need help deciding the routes of the other members of the batfam if they never encounter Batman. I already have ideas for most of them, but a few are giving me trouble deciding.

- If you want to add something about other batfam members, feel free to do so.
- I don't care about continuities, my story is going to be a frankencanon anyways.
- Rant as much as you want, I love reading rants.
Richard Grayson
In this case, I kind of want to keep his parents alive for sake of the main plot. With that in mind I'm deciding how it would work with the Court of Owls, and if to add them to the story or not.
- The Court would have waited more for Dick to grow a little bit more?
- The Court killed his parents pretty early to take Dick.
Jason Todd
We all know that Jason was really good at surviving in Crime Alley, so in this AU I have two ideas.
- He either became a Crime Lord on his own (His morals are loose, but better than most in Gotham).
- He turned his life around, he got out of the criminal life before going too deep and created his own organization to help people in Gotham.
Cassandra Cain
Same backstory, the differences came after her first mission.
- She tried to escape as in canon but was unsuccesful, so she was forced to continue working for LoA.
- She managed escape, but... Where would she end up in this AU?
Duke Thomas
I don't know what to do with him, because a lot of the reasons on why he started the vigilante life had in mind that Batman existed already when he was introduced. I know his has his backstory with his bio-dad, but I don't know what exactly to do with him.
- His father found him eventually and took him.
- The crime life of Gotham eventually reaches his family and he becomes a low-rate criminal or a vigilante on his own.
Again. You can disagree and think something different about these scenarios. I just want to get ideas for my fic.
