How do Kong fans feel about the current state of the MV, and it's relation to the (King)Kong franchise in general?

For context: With the imminent release of Minus Zero, and the glowing reviews from early showings, discourse concerning around the Monsterverse has risen up again...that is, amongst Godzilla fans. In comparison, I'm curious as to how Kong fans feel about the MV up to now, especially when compared to previous movies in the Kong franchise. Are they happy with what the MV has done with Kong? Is there a subsect of KK fans who dont like the MV?

You think that at some point two or more of the Natural Enemies will realize humanity's plan and team up to try and stop them?

I've been thinking about this, and so far IMO that would be the biggest "oh shit this is gonna be the most dangerous/depressing situation for the main characters" scenario. It would definitely lead to a lot of deaths.

But...a scenario like that doesnt seem likely atm. Whenever the NE's briefly interact that doesn't lead to immediate hostility, they view each other the same way they(at least the sentient ones) view humans: contempt. At best, it's just another "inferior" race that only deserves extermination. At worse, it's a new race to enslave, and use as either food or playthings.

I do know that right now, only the Neo Humans are the natural enemy that know of (paleo)humanity's plan to pit all their NE's against each other, so I'm curious to see where the story will go with that.

A recap of the leaks and rumors for Supernova, for those interested

Just wanted to compile all of the leaks and rumors regarding Supernova on here, because IMO if it's all true this will probably be the one MV movie out of the current film lineup that'll have a lot of things fans will love about it, and some things they'll really hate. So I'll be categorizing these leaks based on what I think people will like, and what they won't.

**Likes:**

  • Godzilla is the focus of the movie. Leaks are confident that the spotlight is back on Godzilla again after Kong has been the primary star for the last two movies. That being said, the attention wont be so one-sided again, because apparently:

  • Both Godzilla and Kong will have equal screen time. I know some fellow G fans would love for Kong to have less screen time as compensation for how lesser G's was before, but this is a good thing IMO.

  • Godzilla and Kong are true allies now, with little to no hostility left between the two. In a way it sounds like the dynamic between them will be actual buddy cop like, which was rather fasley advertised in TNE.

  • SpaceGodzilla is a threat. Unlike Skar King(who mind you I liked for what he was), SpaceG will be a real menace in this movie. He easily manhandles both Godzilla and Kong at the same time throughout multiple fights.

  • The final battle is a 1v1 between Godzilla and SpaceGodzilla. Kong will not be landing the final blow this time.

  • The human characters are pretty likeable. Nothing to right home about, but this is what the leaks have said if I recall. The most inoffensive roles the humans have had in the MV films have been either as exposition or simply getting the plot from point A to B, so hopefully they'll be much better in Supernova.

  • Monsters will have "weight" to them again. Specifically closer to how they moved and felt in KOTM, but still mixed with how the presentation has been these last two movies. Best of both worlds I think.

Now for the **Dislikes**:

  • Kong gets a full body exosuit. Many who've been privy to the leaks seem to agree that this is one of, if not the most nonsensical part of the movie, in a bad way. I can agree with the sentiment that Kong is given to much support from humans, and needs to show that he can be strong and ingenious on his own. He shouldn't need a full iron man suit this time, but we'll see what it looks like in the full release before judging I guess.

  • Methuselah returns! But...he's killed off by Godzilla and Kong. It sucks to have another original MV titan that fans want to see more of just get killed off in these movies. Supposedly SpaceG can embed his crystals in other monsters and mind control them. He does this to Methuselah, and then does it to Kong, which leads to:

  • Kong(mind controlled by SpaceG) and Godzilla fight again, with Kong almost killing Godzilla. Trapper stops them by dislodging the crystal from Kong. Even though this is probably the most legit reason to have the two of them fight since GvK, I fear this will cause another wave of discourse and powerscaling arguments between G and K fans. I know K fans will be very cheeky about Kong almost killing Godzilla.

And I think that's all of the major leaks and rumors covered. If you've also been following the leaks and know I missed any, please remind me, and if I got anything wrong here aswell. I know the "bigger" threat in Supernova is actually a massive planet eating titan that SpaceG seems to herald(though the leaks say he's not controlled by or subservient to it), I wouldn't know whether to put it in likes or dislikes.

I have a question about the Insurgents, specifically the "kill" factions

Hello, I started watching Agents of the Four Seasons recently and I'm really enjoying it. But there's one question on my mind: Why do the insurgent groups with the goal of killing the agents exist or bother, if a new agent is "born" immediately after the previous one is killed? I can understand the groups that want to capture and exploit the agents for their own ends, but why do the kill groups go through all that effort if it just gets undone in an instant?

You think the Monsterverse will ever get a decent budget fighting game on consoles and steam?

The announcement of Destroy All Monsters Melee remake got me thinking about this. Now I'm excited for the remake and will be getting it day 1, but I hope the MV gets its own game someday. I know it'd be redundant, because if anything MV Godzilla will just be included in games like DAMM as a skin or even extra character.

But, I'd like to see the rest of the Monsterverse cast get featured in a good game: Kong, the original titans, and the MV incarnations of the big Toho four, especially Ghidorah. Seriously, for how beloved Legendary Ghidorah is, it's sad to think this incarnation might never be in a game that isnt mobile slop. Toho is too reliant on Heisei Ghidorah for his appearances in content like video games.

If/When it becomes a Chaos God, how do you think Formless Distortion will distinguish itself from Tzeentch?

I was reading up on the Ætheric Dominions, and IMO Formless Distortion sounds similar to the "change" aspect of Tzeentch's domain: "the true essence of Chaos is endlessly shifting and unknowable, twisting, changing and perverting everything it touches."

That sounds very Tzeentchian IMO.
