Recently got accepted to NYU. Gonna be a 2nd semester sophomore or junior depending on how many credits are accepted. My major prerequisite class and discussion section are completely full and have a small wait list, but I need it to be able to take almost all other major classes. Could emailing the professor and CAS director of undergraduate studies get me approved?

Im committing to NYU (28, junior transfer) I’m seeing that CAS advisors are hit or miss! Any recommendations for good, knowledgeable advisors? Personally I’m not above emailing asking to be considered for being placed with specific advisors. Im an art history major if that makes a difference!

Anyone apply beginning of March and got their decision back yet? How long does it usually take to hear back? Whats an appropriate wait to email asking for an update?
