I have my first post-surgery follow-up next week. No pumping until then. But damn, getting fingers on that pump is gonna be hard. It's located kind behind and right up against my left nut. I'm anxious.
Got catheter out. Oh, man, that feels so much better. Drain removed. Passed the pee test. Pain is very mild. Mostly soreness where the reservoir is located. Driving home tomorrow (3 hrs).
Mild pain. I took Tylenol and gabapentin. Doc said start the others tomorrow morning because I got pumped with all kinds of stuff today. Surgery was two hours. Tomorrow remove catheter and drain. I'm staying until Thursday. Then a three hour drive home. Also, it's a treat. Two great Thai restaurants just one block apart! My home town does not have a Thai restaurant. Matter of fact, we don't even have a traffic light.
Today is the big day. I would be excited if I wasn't so terrified. A long journey to get to this point. At Mayo Rochester.
