Hi everyone,
I have a quick technical question regarding standard Canada Post counter operations for untracked international shipments.
If a sender visits a post office retail counter, can a clerk look up an untracked international shipment in their terminal system using a customer's phone number or name, and see a status such as "unaccounted for" or "lost in transit"?
My understanding has always been that untracked services do not generate any barcode scan events or terminal status updates once accepted. However, I wanted to ask Canada Post employees or experienced shippers if counter agents actually have access to any internal lookup system for untracked items that the public cannot see.
Thanks in advance for clarifying how the counter system handles untracked
