Hey everyone,

I'm moving to Oxford in October to start an MSc and trying to figure out the best mobile plan before I arrive.

I'll be using eduroam on campus obviously, but outside of that I'll be relying entirely on mobile data — so good speeds and reliability matter a lot to me. Not too fussed about minutes or texts, it's really all about the data.

A few things I'm wondering:

- Which network actually performs best in Oxford day-to-day? (EE, O2, Vodafone, Three?) I've seen conflicting things online

- Is Three's unlimited actually usable or does it throttle?

- Worth going with an MVNO like giffgaff, VOXI or SMARTY, or better to go direct with a major network?

- Any plans you'd specifically recommend for someone who wants solid 4G/5G data on a budget?

I'm an international student so I need something with no credit check and no long-term contract — rolling monthly is ideal.

Thanks in advance, really appreciate any first-hand experience!
