Semaglutide
Is anyone already taking semaglutide (GLP-1) at a low dose since it is being tested as a neuroprotective in a Denmark study? If so, how did you get a prescription, and what are the potential side effects? Thanks for any info!

I have gotten so many glaucoma treatments now, and I continue to wonder how they all can not have worked? While I was on 3 different eye drops, I continued to lose visual field in both eyes, but mostly the right eye, with central vision loss.
The ophthalmologist tried SLT in the right eye, and that did nothing to lower the pressure.
During cataract surgery, 3 iStents were put in both eyes. Within about 4-6 months later, my pressures were ‘too high‘ again. The ‘bad right eye’ is back up to 23 (with thin corneas), the left eye at 20.
Could all 6 iStents have been blocked with scar tissue, at the same time, or all been dislodged? My ophthalmologist doesn’t explain why the procedure didn’t work, and doesn’t suggest whether it can be corrected somehow. Visual field is apparently continuing to worsen.
Now a 4th eye drop has been added (because I suggested it) and I am waiting to see if that does anything significant.
Is it just bad luck that nothing he tries works, even for a medium length of time? Or is this type of failure rate common? I also saw a second ophthalmologist, and he didn’t have anything new to add. He confirmed I have glaucoma. He mentioned other treatments could be available, but didn’t say what they were or when I should consider them. I am physically active, in overall good physical condition, and extremely healthy in all other respects. I am also taking some of the supplements that are supposed to help eye health, mentioned on these forums (again, my self help my idea).
