Interview with A + T's neighbor
Normally, I don't support JRL, but honestly, this interview with Connie, A + T's neighbor is very interesting. Some really interesting intel.

Came across this old ABC news report from Feb 16 that said, quote "FBI joining Sheriff deputies near Tucson checking and rechecking homes around the residence of Annie Guthrie. Officers seen searching sheds and underbrush and also soliciting additional doorbell camera"
So... we now know that the ransom note said she was buried in nature. We didn't know that then. But FBI/LE did.
So the fact they were concentrating their efforts around Annie's home, looking in nature areas, to me, says a lot. They were suspects. And they were suspects, in part, based on the ransom notes.
Because why would a stranger 'kidnap' NG from her home and bury her at AG?
I think FBI/LE know more than they are letting on. For sure.
SG made a new Instagram plea. I think she must know who did it. Hoping it works... thoughts?
Haven't listened to the whole thing but this def confirms more of what the 2 ransom notes said. This is breaking news, folks.
Such a good episode. For all those people who say, "just let LE/FBI do their job; the public has no right to know," listen to what Ed Smart says here... give the public more info.
Also I never stop thinking about how Ed Smart and his brother kept the story alive in the news, despite major public scrutiny of their innocence/guilt... wish we'd get the same investment from Nancy's fam.
Ed Smart says as family members, "do anything you can to clear your name so people can focus on what to look for"
Seems like none of the regulars (TIR, The Lab, Brian Entitn) are doing anything on Guthrie this week. I wondered if we might try something. Many people are on this sub because we couldn't even mention A + T on the other sub. So many of us, I think, believe that A + T had *something to do with it or at least feel like they haven't been forthcoming.
But, I recently listened to another former FBI, on a podcast called Missing. She truly doesn't believe A + T had anything to do with it. Her reasons were:
LE went through A+ T's digital forensics, cellphones etc via ICAC therefore they would have known if there was anything that pointed to them and they would make an arrest
LE had their car, and the the digitals on that would be very very clear too. If T didn't do what her said or there was anything else out of line, they would know and make an arrest
The the FBI would have had to approve of Nanos statement that the family was cleared, therefore if Nanos made it, the FBI also cleared them
She thought it was ridiculous that they would do it for money, because *everyone in their life would know they were suddenly rich
If it was about an 'elimination murder', as their caretakes A+ T had far more easier means and opportunity to get rid of her that would never attract attention. Why would they do such an elaborate plan, involving multiple people and staging and press... when they could just give her "arsenic in her food or smother her in her sleep"
These were all of this former FBI's reasons why it can't be A + T...
Does anyone find any of this compelling enough to cross them off as suspects? I mean, she makes valid points.
What do you think? Agree or disagree and why.
Came across this BBC article from a couple of weeks ago. Pretty much the same old, same old, but in it there's a quote from Nanos saying he wished he had never released the crime scene so soon. I was surprised to read it because I hadn't heard him admit that before. Taking away from that he might just be incompetent, why do you think he released it so early? I think it could have been family pressure. But I can't back that up.
"Sheriff Nanos has alternately denied and admitted to mistakes. At a 5 February press conference, he said he'd have preserved the crime scene longer if given another opportunity.
"I probably could have held off on that," he said, adding: "We got what we thought was complete."
Great live... there might be more to this story....
One thing that always bothered me is why didn't the perp go through the sliding door on the left-hand side of this photo? I think it's her bedroom, but even if it's not it would be more hidden than the front door. It does not appear to have cameras (or does it?) To me it makes the 'staged' theory more plausible that they didn't because I think it would have been a lot more stealth and easy to go through those sliding doors, than the front or even the back. I also don't know if this has been discussed and ruled out, so feel free to correct!
Last night on The Lab, Josh had the TIR guys on. They all agreed that they think the FBI/LE knows who wrote the first two 'ransom' letters and might even know who the porch guy is, but that they were building a case.
The TIR guys actually said that because the FBI is involved, the case needs to be even stronger/airtight for a court hearing. Basically, they think they know exactly who did this, but they can't quite prove it.
What do you all think? What do you think the FBI/LE likely knows by now? And what do you think they are still trying to get ready to prove in court?
As strange as it is, it seems that DC might not be involved. I think they would have sealed his plea if he had been given a reduced sentence because he knew something... Just seems like LE didn't think it was a big deal he sent those texts and gave him 10 year probation. What a strange case. https://www.kold.com/2026/07/02/man-pleads-guilty-writing-imposter-ransom-note-nancy-guthrie-case/
On tonight's Brian Entin he had Dr. B (always interesting) and a bitcoin specialist.
Regarding the two 'ransom notes' one of the reasons I don't think they are real (I think they are likely a red herring) is that in order to be sophisticated enough to use Bitcoin as a way to obtain ransom money, you'd also know that the minute you 'moved' it you'd be traceable.
But it also begs the question, if people like SG think that they were a real attempt to get money why not put like 500,000 in it, or even 1 million just as a way to temp the culprit to move it and make them easier to catch?
I guess I've never really understood the end game of the perps, if we assume those ransom notes were real. I don't think they are real. I think they might be from the perps as a way to distract... but I don't think that that money, was the motive.
After TIR started to talk about Splinter, the non-profit where AG had her jewelry studio, I wanted to find out if A still had it there. For the record, I don't really buy TIR's unhoused person thread. But Splinter itself became quite interesting as I looked into it. They employ oracles and "chaos coordinator". Huh.
That deep dive then led me to a series of articles on Medium.com by someone named Niko Roswell aka RoswellSaid that are interesting. For the record, Medium is more like a blog site. So it isn't vetted in the way mainstream articles would be. But he's got a lot of his own references that seem legit and well researched.
I looked Niko up on Linkedin. He's an independent crime reporter in Tucson, as you would guess, but he's also in real estate, and an estate director:
Estate Director Self-Employed 2000 - Present · 26 yrs 6 mo. Specialist in the repositioning of luxury personal property.
I found that... interesting.
His bio also says I love to juggle a world of style, real estate, art and complex situations.
Anyway, Niko makes some interesting connections. Deep rooted animosity that people may have had against the Guthrie's in the circles of Splinter.
Full disclosure, this is all a little conspiracy theory - which I'm not really a fan of - but there are interesting ideas and Tucson political insider stuff that others aren't reporting.

I keep hearing that NG had a tenant who rented the Casita from her. Not at the time of her disappearance but before that. It seems strange to me, if true. Like, did she need the money? Was it a stranger? Or a friend of the family? Did family ever stay in there? What was it used for, generally? The placement of the casita being so near to the garage that NG used to get in and out of the house made me wonder if she could be watched from there. I don't know.
Porch guy seems to be coming from that direction when he walks up in the video. Wonder if someone was possibly hiding out there? There are sliding doors that seem to be in the direction of the garage ish.
It's just struck me as a security nightmare for an elderly woman living alone.
Thoughts?
I'm curious if the trial of D C aka Hawthorne man on June 23 in Tucson will be a nothing-burger or yield new information... What do you think? ETA: there is a brand new report that he is pleading guilty and his next court date is in July now. Could he have made a deal with LE?
I also reread the official court complaint from DC's arraignment, and I couldn't help but notice a few details. These are official documents, so I assume these can be considered 'facts'
Here is a very interesting episode of Monks Intrigue that allegedly contains police scanner activity relating to the Guthrie case from that morning https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTfM1dA93Fw
You can even hear what sounds like Nanos in one of them.
My biggest takeaway was that Nanos actually seems to have a tinge of disbelief in his voice about the fam not having access to the camera footage. Also, that the fam got into NG phone. Also, that NG cane was there... I don't buy everything Monks is saying, but it is quite interesting to listen to the scanners... Bet the 911 call has so much more info.
Everybody needs to listen to this starting at 3:08:52 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLy4A5JFJE4
I don't see too many parallels between the cases but this is a sympathetic interview with John Ramsey. One thing is, despite what John says here, I recall that the Ramseys did a lot of interviews even though they were accused. They answered questions. I recall that in the Elizabeth Smart case, too. The family - even the uncle - did interviews and answered questions. It's why I wonder sometimes why the Guthries, especially the Tucson fam that were with her don't do more interviews. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8uezzPzOsQ
This is actually a bombshell newsbreak in the case if true... Sergeant Cross of Pima County says at minute 18 of this episode that the family (A + T) had already been at Nancy's home for HOURS, "trampling things and moving things" before LE were called, and then he goes on to say that the family insisted for the first few hours it WAS a walk away. This is a bombshell if true. Why the heck is NO ONE else covering this? Trying to verify it? It counters the narrative of SG on Hoda completely. Cross could be liable if he said something like this and it wasn't true, so it leans that it's true... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJ1mEbGW274
