Scared to talk to dad about marriage
I really need help... I want to introduce a very serious guy to my father, but i am scared of my father's response. To give some background context, I am 22 years old and currently applying to medical school, My dad is Pakistani and will accept nothing less than an MD from me. My parents are also divoreced and we are no longer in contact with my mom. I met a guy a few months ago through a friend and we have started getting to know each other and i decided I see a future with him. I am scared to bring him up to my father as my dad has always wanted me to get married after medical school and to a guy who is also a doctor. My guy however is a real estate agent- but is very religious and good guy. He recently told me he does not feel comfortable continuing to talk to me without my father knowing- so I need to ask my father for them to meet; however, knowing my father, he is a very strict man and I am scared to bring it up to him. How do i bring this up to my father? I am scared he will be disappointed in me or make me stop talkign to him
