Looked at a first gen today, has the infamous cold start rattle. Everything else about the car was a 8/10 considering its age. Owner wants $5900, oddly I am considering buying with how expensive any car is getting.

This car fits the bill perfectly of what I am looking for, something I can put some money into and have a nice secondary car for quite a while. I've worked on cars but never anything engine internal.

What's your guys thoughts? Nothing else at all seems wrong with the car, ran fine, idled fine, no misfires or any codes. Ran flawless. 200k miles. Manual transmission, clutch felt brand new. Clean title.
