more than a year's wait at this point

update: solved. thanks

the first pair i got sent had manufacturing problems. no big deal, warranty claim. they're out of my initial leather, no big deal, have to battle a little with customer service because i don't want two tone boots. end up paying more because of the leather choice and because they now offer a relief cut even though i initially asked if i could have this done (no relief cut option at the time). fine, whatever. currently a couple months into the remanfacture process and i get told i can't shorten the height of the boot by an inch because of policy or whatever. i don't really want to throw customer service under the bus or anything, they've been genuinely helpful and they're just following rules.

it just feels completely absurd. they’re building the whole boot from the ground up anyway. changing a pattern piece isn’t some monumental redesign, it’s one less inch of leather using a different clicking die. it feels pretty arbitrary while i’m just sitting here over a year deep, no boots, out a thousand bucks and nothing to show for it except for some boots i will eventually receive that i don't even really want

just received new Backcountrys. too wide?

im an 11-11.5D on the brannock and these are 10.5D and I'm wearing thick socks. the shaving between the uppers seems way too close together and I'm scared that over time they'll widen too far. walnut timberjack leather if it makes a difference
