Bought my first RV and now there’s an issue.
I’m not sure if this is the right subreddit to post this on so please let me know. I just bought a new camper from Blue Compass in New Mexico. We did the walk through, they showed us how to use all the things, very thorough and very helpful. My wife and I love it. However, the day after we took the camper home, we received a call from them saying they gave us the wrong rv. The serial number was off by one number! So we drove close to 3.5 hours with a camper that wasn’t the right one so if we got into an accident while driving it then I’m sure that would cause some type of issue with the insurance claims. We did call them today and they said that they’ll have someone drop off our actual camper and exchange the two. I feel like something more should be done because it’s a pretty big mess up, they tried to say they were busy and it slipped past them but that’s definitely something they should be on top of. I’m not the type of guy to really have an outburst when it comes to a companies mess up but this was a big purchase and I feel like we’re kind of owed more than what feels like a “my bad” from them. I was honestly going to try to get them to throw in an electric tongue jack and an extra battery with cover or maybe even a reimbursement on fuel. I’m just not sure if that’s enough or even too much to ask for
