Luke saying it plainly

Good on Luke for saying it plain and simple about why Ireland do not want to be playing Israel. It is a stain on the game they are still allowed to play.

It does go a lot further back too, to the Black and Tans and impact of colonialism

ID and Info on this please

Hi all, looking for some info or knowledge on this banjo. It's branded as an Artist, and has a sticker on the back saying 'HB300' and another with a QC sticker on it - suggesting it has undergone some kind of quality assurance.

I'm just wondering if it is another cheap Chinese made banjo which therefore means a varied and ultimately unknown level of quality. I do know the brand Artist as a guitar brand, manufactured in China I believe to a decent standard, a band member has some Artist Strat copies and they are actually well made instruments with good hardware.

Just wondering if anyone could see any indicators as to any potential quality in this instrument, or not as the case may be. Due to my remote location I'm generally always having to buy without first playing instruments so just trying to find any info possible - whether it might have a tone ring, cheap or otherwise etc.

Many thanks in advance for any help

Republic branded Banjo

Hi all, looking for some advice/info as I'm struggling to find anything online, and I mean anything.

I'm looking for a second hand Tenor Banjo and have found one for a very decent price (£80) nearby, it is branded as Republic on the headstock, the seller doesn't know anything about it as I think they inherited it. I've searched online and found Republic make resonator guitars but can't find any info on Banjos, or specifically Tenor Banjos. Can anyone shed any light on this instrument, or more to the point would it be worth purchasing.

For context I play Mandolin, Bouzouki, Guitar and Tenor Guitar and am looking to add a tenor Banjo to my collection because I want one basically. I'm a beginner/intermediate player on those instruments (possibly), can play fairly well in a group of musicians and most of my instruments are of that Intermediate level, I want them to be worth keeping hold of but don't really have the money or desire to spend big money on them.
