Basically just the title, I wanted to incorporate most of the crystal weaponizers into their respective voyagers so I built these, Optimus is based on BotBender’s earthrise build with slammer and Megatron is based heavily on his Shattered Glass alt mode but I couldn’t fit his torso into the build like I could with Optimus.
Checked out my Walmart today and found this guy behind a bunch of scourge and nexus rereleases. I’ve been waiting on this guy since he was announced as I never got to experience the old voyager. It feels weird now getting this after he’s gone but I need a bayverse Optimus in my collection , especially now since I returned my SS44 a long time ago because of his grill tab breakage issue and never replaced him
I can’t believe they tried to leave full-body weaponizers back in siege, I mean just look at this guy, his colors make him look like he belongs with nexus, plus if you can’t figure out what to do with the extra parts, Make them a gun. (This is completely replicable aside from the leg cannons as I used the extra 5mm pegs from my last post)
I recently got the new Walmart exclusive Energon figures and because of the news about Peter Cullen I spent a lot of time with my Optimus figures yesterday. I wanted a figure that looked like an ascended Optimus, almost reminiscent of a ghost but still armored to the teeth to stand alongside his siblings so I used two extra 5mm pegs I had lying around from old customs to turn Cybertread into an armor worthy of The Father of a Generation. The shoulders can flip up to homage g2 Optimus and his shoulder canon has two different resting positions as well as a swivel. I also repurposed the holographic cybertron from TFOne Orion Pax as the zodiac in his chest. Rest in peace Optimus Prime. Til’ all are one
Kind of a sequel to my last post but I decided to just leave nexus Maximus in his stock shape until we get his drones and just touch up the paint in a way that blended him better with superion’s frame. I’m pretty happy with how Nexus Prime came out individually though, I wish Hasbro put half as much effort into this release
I recently added a bunch of custom paint to nexus’s robot mode so he feels more like his funpub design but I’m not sure what his combined mode should look like, I’ve narrowed it down to these. Please yall my indecisive ass needs help picking one 😭
Ok probably the last nexus post from me until we get a proper frame for him but after messing around with some old micro/target masters I’ve managed to bulk out his voyager mode to look more like a true combiner. Plus I landed on a configuration for his combined mode that doesn’t make him look like he’s hiked his overalls so far into his ass it’s permanently lodged his shoulders up over his head
