ISO a wedding guest dress for this weekend…

Long story short, I spent my college years working at some pretty nice stores and was very lucky to get most of my clothes at great discount and free. Now I work from home for a men’s brand and hardly shop anymore.

I’ve never been huge into Zara, H&M, Mango, etc, -
and usually stick to thrifting, secondhand designer, Uniqlo, and Brandy, etc.

I’m going to a wedding this weekend with my boyfriend in Florida and I found a cute vintage dress to wear. Except I just checked the weather and it’s supposed to be mid 90s where I’m going. The dress is dark, mid length, lined, and polyester (I know, don’t shame me).

I’m desperately looking for something relatively cheap that I won’t overheat in as the wedding is going to be outdoors. I don’t care about looking amazing as I haven’t met the bride or groom and I won’t know anyone there except my boyfriend. 🥲 I went to the Wasteland near my apartment in silver lake and found an amazing silk Reformation Anaiis dress, but was a bit expensive for the occasion…

Any suggestions? Bride sent attire suggestions that are FashionNova dresses in bright pink, orange, and tropical florals and as kind of a tomboy…that’s simply not happening. Thinking of going to Crossroads and possibly Zara? I feel clueless! How short is too short for a guest dress? I’m more modest typically, but I’m now thinking about practicality.

Thank you in advance !!!

TLDR ; Haven’t shopped for anything new in years and I need a wedding guest dress for this weekend for an outdoor wedding in Florida
