Community rule against AI slop?

Would folks here like a rule against it? I'm not a mod or anything, but as an IRL labor organizer I see AI as the single biggest labor issue in the US right now, at least in terms of threats to workers. Plus big union busting companies own and operate most of the AI infrastructure we have.

Suburban mundane to High Desert Plain

This Colorado side yard used to be non-native grass. During the summer heat it would brown without watering. Two years ago I killed it all and this is what it looks like without watering anything. We get hundreds of bees here daily, and lots of butterflies and hummingbirds too.

Today I learned the term "Functional Freeze."

Like many of you, I'm very much in burnout mode at work. I used to legitimately have pride in my job, but that faded and came to an end a few months ago. I still have plenty of work to do any given day and I know how to get it done, but lately I just find that I... can't. That's partly why I'm even here posting right now.

Reding about this term today was one of those moments where you read something and it seems to perfectly describe your experience. I know what needs to be done, how to do it, and what's at stake if I don't. But I am just laying here exhausted even thinking about it.

I don't really have a point other than cathartic writing and commiseration. So please, commiserate away.

AuDHD married folks: How to Deal with Criticism

Hey all. I'm NT married to AuDHD for over 10 years. Before anyone jumps to conclusions this is not an ultimatum or bordering on divorce issue. Just a consistent issue I would like advice on.

My AuDHD spouse is heavily resistant to any criticism or taking accountability for little things she does that often inconvenience me. Things like leaving the dishwasher open with dirty dishes (we have pets), leaving the back door open (again, pets and also insects), or not flushing each time since I installed an eco-friendly toilet with flush settings.

I have tried bringing these things up in so many different ways, and no matter what I try it seems that she gets offended at the notion that she's doing anything "wrong." At best she'll say "Ok," and continue doing the inconvenience and at worst she'll gets upset and asks why I am always so mean to and critical of her.

I have tried asking her not to do the thing anymore, asking if there's anything I could do to make her life easier as well, putting reminder signs up, etc. it feels like no matter what I do, she gets upset. I don't want to live with all manner of annoyances occurring daily in our home, but I don't want to upset her either.

Any advice?
