Tank furnishing suggestions

Setting up new tank for my res (Gurgle) i currently have the plants (safe to eat ofc) a nice pile of stones for her to play with (ive heard they like playing interior decorator) and a few guppies so i can start getting her used to tank mates

I want to put some more things in there for enrichment and maybe some better hidey spots

Basking platform has not been forgotten im just trying to figure out making a nice out of tank one rather than just buying to save some money so id love suggestions or ideas in that as well :)

How much should i be handling my res?

My res is about a month old and i try to avoid being to invasive in her enclosure and grabbing her other than the obvious required tank maintenance and such
I want her to be comfortable with me and feel safe with me handling her - by what age, how often, and how long is it appropriate for me to handle her just for funzies or for her to spend time out of the tank in sunshine etc?
Should i wait till shes older or start handling her more often while still baby?

Should i give her a lil scrubbing?

Had an algae bloom last week and now i noticed some on her shell and maybe some skin flakes or maybe just also algae on her skin
Time for her introduction to the toothbrush?

Thoughts on my setup?

Has a heat bulb uvb bulb and a ceramic heat element (in lieu of water heater because i already had it and it works well to help maintain water temp) filter is rated 3-5 times tank capacity
I intend to switch to sand instead of the gravel and add a lot more water whenever i feel its appropriate to reconfigure her tank again (hasnt been very long since last time i rearranged and ive still only had her a few weeks so i want her to feel stable for a while before completely changing her home again)
Also wanting to add some plants for her if anyone has suggestions
Edit: i was also thinking about putting in a lil soft bristle toothbrush somewhere for her to have a scratch spot :)

My baby res is still so scared of me :(

My baby res (about 3/4 weeks old - had her for about 2) is still super scared of me - they will scamper off of their basking platform and hide underneath in the water as soon as i walk up to the tank. Im very gentle and slow any time i need to enter their tank for feeding or cleaing or water changes and try to spend a little time every day just sitting by the tank so they can get used to me. Ive had to be in her tank a lot more lately because of cleaning for what i think is new tank syndrome and had to remove her and transport her a couple times in the past week though ive been as gentle as possible each time. Please if you have any recommendations on bonding with or just helping her get used to me other than just patience please let me know!

Edit: also any tips on dealing with new tank syndrome that wont be too intrusive for her?

TLDR: How can i help my baby turtle be less scared of me :(
