My furever rescue ✨

Hi everyone. I’m reaching out because I’m about to take in a neglected five-year-old Ragdoll boy who desperately deserves a fresh start. He’s severely overweight, has clearly not been cared for properly, and through a rescue situation he’s now ending up with me. Despite everything, he is absolutely beautiful and deserves a chance at a safe, loving, stable home.

To be honest, life has hit my family really hard recently. I unexpectedly lost a family member, and almost immediately after, one of my daughters became ill and required hospitalization. Between grief, medical stress, and trying to hold everything together for my children, I simply haven’t had the time or financial ability to fully prepare for bringing him home the way I wanted to.

Even so, I couldn’t say no to him.

I already have two younger cats under a year old, but they will be separated and introduced very slowly and safely. This sweet boy will have his own quiet space in my master bedroom and bathroom while he decompresses, adjusts, and begins his weight-loss and rehabilitation journey. My goal is to give him patience, stability, proper nutrition, enrichment, and finally the love he should have had all along.

I’ve fostered animals in the past, but this one feels especially personal to me. It genuinely breaks my heart seeing such a beautiful, gentle animal abandoned and neglected. I want to help him heal physically and emotionally and hopefully give him a forever home where he never feels unwanted again.

I created an Amazon wishlist with some of the basics he’ll need: healthier food, enrichment toys, a cat tree, grooming supplies, and an automatic feeder to help with portion control and routine.
